About Us
Due to new construction, the cottage is only bookable again from July 2023. Price will be announced with the offer.
Our traditional, rusticLehenalm enjoys a remote location at 1400 m above sea level, treating guests to magical views of the surrounding mountains and Dorfgastein, along with absolute peace and quiet. The Lehenalm can be reached by car and is rented out from April until the end of November. The 2000 m² property is fenced in.
Grazing on the surrounding meadows are cows and sheep. A barn stands right next to the Lehenalm. The farmer is always happy if guests offer to lend a hand milking the cows. An unforgettable holiday experience for big and small.
The nearest community is Unterberg, part of Dorfgastein in Salzburger Land. Unterberg is 5 km from the Lehenalm. In Unterberg, you will find plenty of shops. The Amoseralm is 2 km from the Lehenalm. There, you will be able to purchase their own organic products including fresh bread straight out of a wood-fired oven. A playground and petting zoo are also available.
The Lehenalm and Gastein Valley offer unlimited opportunities during your summer holidays. From adrenaline rushes and endurance sports, to leisurely hikes across alpine pastures, everything is possible. Marked hiking routes invite you to set out on hikes straight from the Lehenalm itself. A hike of roughly 1 hour will bring you to the Kogerlalm. The Kogerlalm treats visitors to a selection of regional specialties. Alternatively, you might opt for a hike to the Rauchkogel, which you will reach in about 45 minutes. Clearly marked mountain bike trails run right past the Lehenhütte. The trail network is extensive and well maintained, with trails suitable for all abilities.
For families with children, the Lehenalm offers everything your heart could desire. An adventure playground with an 8 m-tall tree, suspended from which is a swing, giving the kids a great view of the valley far below; and the Bird’s Nest Swing, with a tire and sandbox. Out on the fenced-in meadow covering over 2000 m², children find plenty of space to run and play. In the meantime, their parents can sit out on comfortable garden furniture or stretch out on loungers and soak up the glorious mountain sunshine. The garden grill in front of the hut invites guests to enjoy convivial get-togethers in the fresh air on those balmy summer evenings.
On hot summer days, guests have several ways to cool off. The big Forest Pool in Sankt Johann is just 25 km away. Or, if you prefer, a number of nearby lakes invite you to take a refreshing dip. Other sporting opportunities nearby include: fishing, archery, golf, rock climbing, Nordic walking, paragliding and tennis. Popular excursion destinations in the region include the spa resort in Hofgastein as well as the Felsenbad, a therapeutic spa in Gastein. Both of them are approximately 15 km from the hut.

Lehenalm
2 - 10 People
The Lehenalm is newly renovated, with over 90 m² of living space. Big living room with a wooden dining table. Parlor with satellite TV, radio and Swedish stove. Kitchen with gas stove as well as wood-burning oven, coffeemaker, refrigerator/freezer, electric water jug. Three bedrooms, divided into two double rooms on the ground floor and one bedroom (mattresses, limited headroom, only suitable for children) underneath the roof. Bathroom with shower and washbasin. The WC is separate. The hut is heated with wood and a gas furnace. Electricity is generated by photovoltaic cells. Large terrace with grill equipment and furniture. The 2000 m² property is fenced in.
