In summer, our cows are at the Hochbruckalm – you are welcome to come with us and visit the animals at the alpine pasture.

Playground, trampoline and go-karts, plus table tennis and table football in the games room – plenty of variety for all ages.

At Lambachhof in Großarl in Salzburger Land, authentic country life awaits you – relaxed, down-to-earth, and with a mountain panorama included. Perfect if you want to get out and still be quickly in the valley for everything important.

🐾 Farm Life & Fun
On the farm, you can feed and pet animals and – if you like – even help out a little depending on the daily routine. For children, there's plenty of space to play and romp around, plus go-karts, a playground, trampoline, and badminton/softball. If the weather isn't cooperating, the recreation room (40 m²) with table tennis, foosball, and games is just right.

🏠 Apartment "Sonnenschein"
The apartment is 85 m² large and offers space for up to 8 people. You'll stay in 3 bedrooms, a fully equipped living kitchen, and a balcony with mountain views. Practical: washbasin in each room, separate bathroom and toilet, WiFi & SAT-TV. Upon request, fresh bread rolls are available from the bakery (and a washing machine for an extra charge).

🥛 Animals & Farm Products
On the farm live cattle, as well as cats, chickens, sheep, and rabbits – a particular highlight for children. Depending on the season, the animals are on the alpine pastures. With our farm products, you can – depending on availability – buy or taste milk, eggs, jams, elderflower syrup, and various schnapps and liqueurs.

☀️ Summer in the Region
In summer, the Großarltal is ideal for hiking and cycling: You'll find around 400 km of marked trails – from family routes to summit tours, and many managed alpine huts. Popular excursion destinations include the Liechtensteinklamm gorge, Alpentherme Gastein, Hohenwerfen Castle, and the Eisriesenwelt Werfen ice caves. For families, Geisterberg in St. Johann is also a great option.

❄️ Winter in the Region
In winter, many possibilities await: skiing in the Ski Amadé ski association, cross-country skiing on trails in the valley, winter hiking, and snowshoeing off-piste. Additionally, there are horse-drawn sleigh rides, cozy stops at alpine huts, curling, and a relaxed evening in the region's restaurants and bars. Extra for children: a small sledding hill directly at the farm. 🛷

A cattle population of 30 - 35. 10 of the cows supply us with the best quality milk, the rest are still calves. The cows give birth for the first time at the age of approx. 2.5 years. They spend their summer on the alpine pasture, only the youngest 2 or 3 calves remain on the farm.

We have several cats which enjoy being stroked and our old cat "Sissi" gives birth to 2 to 4 small kittens every year.

And then there are also two cute dwarf rabbits as well as a guinea pig. They all enjoy being spoilt!

We have a small flock of chickens supplying us with fresh free-range eggs as well as a proud rooster!

Last but not least, there is a pig called "Wuzi", who likes to be fed with leftovers, whey and fresh grass!

Our spacious holiday apartment "Sonnenschein" with its 86m² is ideal for families and everyone looking for a relaxing break in the mountains. You will live comfortably and have enough space to enjoy your vacation in peace.

Bedroom layout:

Bedroom 3 with a double bed

Additionally, a pull-out sofa is available for one more person. There is a washbasin in every room.

The apartment is fully equipped: a complete kitchen with a dishwasher, WiFi & SAT-TV, as well as separate bath and toilet. Outside, a sunny balcony with mountain views and a large terrace with a barbecue await you for cozy evenings.

For a delightful start to the day, you can order fresh bread rolls from the local bakery upon request. A washing machine is available for an additional charge.

Note: When booking for 2 or 4 people, only one or two double rooms will be available.

Arriving by car Vienna/Munich-Salzburg-Tauern motorway A10 approx. 60 km in the direction of Villach, Bischofshofen exit, motorway to St. Johann/Pg. - national road to Großarltal, approx. 6 km before reaching Großarl or about 2 km after the second tunnel you will see a signpost reading "Lambachbauer" on the right - turn left here (BEFORE reaching the bridge), approx. 200 m from here to our farm. Arriving by train Bischofshofen station (all trains) or St. Johann im Pongau station, - continue with post bus or taxi or arrange for us to pick you up. Großarltal Valley

The Großarltal valley is known as the “valley of alpine pastures” for a good reason. In Großarl and Hüttschlag, more than 40 cosy mountain cabins are scattered across the alpine pastures. Take in the scent of wild flowers, enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view in the Hohe Tauern National Park and stop by one of the mountain cabins after hiking. Indulge in culinary delights such as home-made butter, cheese and freshly baked bread from the wood-fired oven. And in winter? Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ski touring, tobogganing or skiing are only a few of the outdoor activities. What else do you need for a great winter holiday?
