About Us
Tucked between our vineyard to the back, and the town square in front, our Gasthof "Zum Kirchenwirt" is a popular destination for locals and guests. Our goal is to provide traditional West Styrian hospitality. We want our guests to feel welcome while enjoying our selection of wines and culinary specialties. We were awarded the designation "Zum Kirchenwirt" in 2001 by Bishop Kapellari.
Breakfast can be enjoyed outdoors in the garden during the summer if you wish, and next to the ceramic stove during the winter. Browse through our selection of daily newspapers and local brochures at your leisure.
Our vineyard and farm, our chef's passion, adjoin the Gasthof.
We are in the perfect location for bicycle tours, mountain biking, hiking, relaxing and enjoying. A stroll through the vineyard, or a tour of the wine region - many options, no requirements.
We are easily reached by train. The "Wies-Marktplatz" stop is behind the church, approximately 50 m from our Gasthof. We will be happy to pick you up. Please let us know ahead of time.

Some items are no longer available - they have been happily consumed, but will return again in the fall of 2015!
Enjoy our gourmet breakfast after a restful sleep, then spend an exciting day exploring the area.
Our breakfast choices include homemade jams, honey from local beekeepers, butter made from local milk, and juices - both homemade and from local farmers. Local ham and sausages, free-range eggs, vegetables, yogurt, muesli, and fresh baked goods round out the assortment.

Double room with balcony
2 People
Three double rooms, furnished with genuine Styrian wood furniture, have been completely refurbished this year! All rooms include a balcony, flat screen TV, desk, and modern Italian-style bathroom fixtures.
An additional bed or crib are available upon request. Please let us know ahead of time.
Free WLAN is available in the rooms and throughout the building!
Our office is closed with only limited availability on TUESDAYS. Please make reservations by 12:00 noon if doing so on a Tuesday.
