Highlights

Experiences

Take a break

Take time to unwind

Our farm enjoys a sunny, peaceful setting with wide views of Lake Constance and the surrounding mountains. In our quiet oasis, you can take in the scenery and listen to the gentle sound of water. If you like, try our barefoot path and enjoy a little time to yourself.

Experience a farm

Experience farm life

At our farm, you can unwind and get a glimpse of everyday farm life. When the work on the farm allows, you may be able to help feed the animals, sort the eggs or take part in making our apple and pear juice. Sometimes there is also a chance to ride along on the tractor. What’s possible depends on the season and the work that needs to be done.

About Us

Our two spacious, modern 5-flower holiday apartments offer plenty of room for a relaxing stay. “Seeblick” is 90 m², while “Bauerngarten” is 110 m². Both apartments have two separate bedrooms.

Our small organic farm is set in a sunny, peaceful location on the Pfänder ridge, surrounded by meadows and woodland. From here, you can enjoy sweeping views of Lake Constance, the Rhine Valley and the mountains of Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Lake Constance is only about 15 minutes away by car.

Our location in the four-country region of Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein offers plenty of opportunities for day trips, walks and cycle rides. Popular destinations include:

  • Bregenz and the Bregenz Festival
  • Lindau Island
  • the Möggers forest nature trail
  • the Skywalk in Scheidegg
  • the Pfänder cable car and Alpine Wildlife Park
  • the Karren cable car and Rappenloch Gorge
  • Mainau Island
  • Ravensburger Spieleland
  • Sea Life Konstanz and Meersburg
  • boat trips on Lake Constance
  • Mount Säntis
  • Lünersee
  • the Silvretta High Alpine Road
  • the Bavarian royal castles, and many more

The region offers a wide range of activities. The cycle routes around Lake Constance are especially popular. Our farm is also an ideal starting point for the Cheese Hiking Trail and the archery course in Eichenberg, one of the most beautiful in Europe.

Our flower and herb garden and the well-kept surroundings invite you to slow down and relax. Settle into a deckchair with a good book or listen to the water gently trickling in our quiet garden oasis. Meanwhile, the children can ride around on the pedal vehicles or enjoy table tennis, badminton and basketball.

You can also meet our animals up close. Our activity playground offers plenty of space for play and movement. Wi-Fi and equipment for babies and toddlers are available.

As our farm is in a peaceful, secluded location, we recommend arriving by car.

Please note: Our farm is non-smoking. Smoking is not permitted inside the house or anywhere on the farm grounds. Please bear this in mind before booking.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Farm products and catering

Quality, regional origin and respect for animals and nature are at the heart of all our organic products. Our Galloway cattle, organic chickens and organic ducks are raised with care and have access to the outdoors. We are especially proud of our organic heritage-breed chickens: their mobile chicken coop gives them fresh pasture to explore.

Several times a year, we offer organic Galloway beef as well as organic chicken and duck from our own farm. You’ll find fresh eggs and seasonal farm products in our self-service fridge. We also keep frozen organic beef, chicken and duck in stock. For the latest availability, visit www.naturhof-innauer.at.

For an easy lunch or dinner, you can pre-order an organic grilled chicken from us. We cook it on the grill and bring it to you ready to eat. You can prepare the side dishes yourself. If you prefer to barbecue, you’re welcome to use our outdoor barbecue area.

In autumn, feel free to pick apples, pears and damsons from our orchard trees. While stocks last, you can also enjoy our homemade apple and pear juice.

There is plenty to discover nearby, too. At the Bergsennerei Lutzenreute, a local dairy, milk from neighbouring farms is made into Vorarlberg mountain cheese and butter. The Fesslerhof butcher’s shop offers high-quality regional meat and charcuterie.

If you’d rather not cook, the Restaurant Schönblick and Gasthof Paradies in Eichenberg serve regional specialities.

You’ll find grocery shops in nearby Lochau in Austria or Scheidegg in Germany.

Animals

Animals are simply part of life on our farm. Our farm family includes Galloway cattle, organic chickens, organic ducks, rabbits, cats and guinea pigs. Each animal has its place and receives the care it needs. Our Galloways have access to the outdoors all year round. The organic heritage-breed hens use a mobile chicken coop, giving them regular access to fresh pasture. Our ducks can bathe and splash around.

From April until mid-November, all our animals are outdoors. Some of the rabbits roam freely around the farm. You can take time to get to know the animals, watch them and, depending on the animal, play with them. Children enjoy setting up little obstacle courses for the guinea pigs. During the winter months, the guinea pigs and rabbits stay in the Hasenhaus, where you can visit them.

In 2018, our caring and species-appropriate animal husbandry was recognised with the Vorarlberger Tierschutzpreis (Vorarlberg Animal Welfare Award).

Reviews
Sustainability

Sustainability is part of everyday life for us. We have managed our farm organically for more than 30 years. Respect for animals and nature shapes our work, as does the careful use of energy and resources.

We manage our meadows extensively and mow them only twice a year. Traditionally, the grass dries in the sun rather than being mechanically dried. This produces high-quality mountain meadow hay while helping to preserve valuable habitats for plants and insects.

Whenever possible, Caprice makes soaps, laundry detergent and cleaning products herself. We choose ingredients that are as environmentally friendly as possible. Reusable glass containers help us reduce packaging waste.

We also try to use resources carefully in our daily routines. When the weather allows, our guests’ laundry dries outside in the fresh air. We sort our waste and try to use energy and materials thoughtfully.

Our photovoltaic system generates electricity, and our solar thermal system provides hot water. We heat our home with wood from our own forest. Our farm is certified organic and follows the standards of organic farming.

If you’d like to know more about how we work on the farm, feel free to ask us. For us, sustainability is reflected in many everyday choices.

Arrival

By car
From Austria and Germany: Take the A14 motorway exit Lochau-Hörbranz and turn left towards Bregenz. After the OMV petrol station, turn left towards Eichenberg. From the centre of Eichenberg, continue straight for about 4 km. After passing through Lutzenreute, take the first road on the left, then turn left again at the next opportunity.

From Switzerland: Take the St. Margrethen motorway exit and follow the signs towards Bregenz. Drive through Bregenz and turn right towards Lochau. About 500 m after the church, turn right towards Eichenberg. From there, follow the directions above.

By train and bus
The nearest railway station is Lochau-Hörbranz, about 9.6 km from the farm. Bregenz and Lindau are other possible arrival stations. Trains run several times an hour.

Bus route 127 runs from Lochau-Hörbranz station to the Eichenberg-Stegen stop. Buses generally run hourly. From the stop, it’s about a 500 m walk to the farm. Pick-up from the station can be arranged in advance; taxis are another option. Please check the latest train and bus timetables before travelling.

By plane
The nearest airports are Friedrichshafen and St. Gallen-Altenrhein, each about 32 km away. Zurich is about 130 km away and Munich about 185 km. From the airport, take the train to Lochau-Hörbranz, Bregenz or Lindau, then continue by bus or taxi. Pick-up can also be arranged in advance. We recommend hiring a car.

Other public transport options
You can arrive by boat at Bregenz harbour and continue by bus. Another option is to take the Pfänder cable car up the mountain and continue to Eichenberg by bus, with one change. Services vary depending on the day and time.

The nearest place to eat or shop – a restaurant, supermarket or farm shop – is about 1 km away.

A car-free stay is possible, but because of our secluded location it is best suited to guests who enjoy walking or cycling. An e-bike is particularly useful. For sightseeing and shopping, we recommend having a car.
