About Us
The Hütte Häg is situated in a secluded location above Egg at 870 meters above sea level, offering a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains and the valley. The cabin is accessible by car all year round.
The highly comfortable cabin was newly renovated in 2025 with great attention to detail. Traditional cabin charm meets modern comfort here. High-quality furnishings combined with reclaimed wood create a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
Our cabin is the ideal starting point for hikes and the perfect place to enjoy the wonderful peace and impressive views.
The large terrace invites you to spend relaxing hours. Alongside comfortable garden furniture, there is a wood-heated hot tub. A barbecue grill is also available.
At the back of the cabin is a small stable, which is occasionally used as a shelter for cows in summer. There is also a storage area for bicycles, motorcycles,…
The well directly next to the cabin is perfect for cooling off.

In winter, the numerous ski areas of the Bregenzerwald beckon with wonderful slopes, especially the nearby family ski area Schetteregg. Whether cross-country skiing, winter hiking, ski touring, or tobogganing, you will never get bored with the selection.

All the furnishings in the cabin are made of wood, mostly from our own forests
On our farm, we are energy self-sufficient: heating and hay ventilation are provided by a wood chip heating system using wood from our own forests, electricity is generated by a PV system, and hot water is heated by solar energy.
No pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or similar substances are used to cultivate the fields
In the Häg cabin, we have opted entirely for wood: paneling, floors, furniture...
Most of the wood comes from our own forests.

Arrival
Leave the Rheintal motorway at the Dornbirn Nord exit and head towards Alberschwende/Bregenzerwald. After approximately 13 kilometers, you will reach Egg. Leave the roundabout in the town center at the second exit towards Andelsbuch.
60 meters further on, turn slightly left and follow the road towards Ebenwald. Stay on this road until just past the Vorsäß Eschalm, where you turn slightly right at a small bridge onto the Häg agricultural road. Follow this gravel path for about 700 meters to reach your destination, Hütte Häg.
