About Us

Our Hoislbauerhütte is located at 1,548 m in the Laderdinger Alpine Pasture area in the Gastein Valley region in Salzburg Land. You'll stay in a sunny spot at the edge of the forest and enjoy expansive views over the valley to the Hochkönigmassiv.

Your Getaway in the Alps 🏔️

Up here, everything slows down. You'll hear the gentle trickling of water from the fountain right next to the hut and experience nature without much hustle and bustle. In the evening, you can cook on the wood-burning stove and let the day wind down on the terrace.

Hut & Facilities 🛏️

We lovingly renovated the hut in 2013, preserving its rustic character. At the same time, you'll enjoy modern comforts: running water, PV electricity, satellite TV, as well as a shower and toilet. The Hoislbauerhütte is a self-catering hut for up to 9 people.

Arrival at the Hut 🚗

Before heading to the hut, we'll meet at our farm, Hoislbauerngut in Laderding 9, 5630 Bad Hofgastein. Together, we'll continue up to the alpine pasture. It's approx. 5.5 km via an unpaved forest road. Use of the Laderdinger Alpine Trail is at your own risk.

Summer in the Surroundings ☀️

In summer, you can start directly from the hut into the hiking area – ideal for family-friendly tours in the Gastein Valley in Salzburg Land. Around Bad Hofgastein, there are also many excursion destinations for children and parents: In bad weather or for relaxation, the Alpentherme Gastein with family areas and slides is perfect. A mountain highlight is the Stubnerkogel in Bad Gastein with a cable car, suspension bridge, and fantastic views. For a varied day trip, the Hohenwerfen Adventure Castle with a castle tour and bird of prey show is also worthwhile.

The hut is closed in winter.

We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Gasteinertal Valley

With almost 40km, the Gasteinertal valley is the longest of the valleys that cut into the northern slopes of the Central Alps in Salzburg. There’s never a dull moment during a holiday in Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein and Dorfgastein. Would you like to hike to one of the mountain cabins in Gastein, get to know the producers and savour delicious, home-made food? Do you dream of breathing freely and activating your body’s own self-healing powers? The Gastein Healing Gallery is the perfect place for that. Listen to the burbling mountain streams and the roaring waterfall in Bad Gastein’s historic centre, let go of your worries and relax in healthy thermal waters or take a refreshing dip in a lake surrounded by mountains. Have fun on more than 200km of perfectly groomed pistes in winter. Simply unwind in this breathtaking mountain scenery. On the family farms, you’ll not only find cosy rooms and holiday apartments, home-made food and exciting activities. The friendly hosts can’t wait to welcome you!
