About Us
Oberlehenhof – Farmhouse between Pfarrwerfen and Werfenweng 🏔️
Our Oberlehenhof is located between Pfarrwerfen and Werfenweng in Salzburger Land, with the impressive mountain backdrop of the Tennengebirge. It has been family-owned since 1930 and is now managed by us with great dedication. The farm combines a long agricultural tradition with modern hospitality.
Depending on the season, various animals live on the farm. In winter, our young cattle and calves are cared for in the stable; in summer, they move to the alpine pasture. Then turkeys and tom turkeys take their place on the farm. Additionally, there are chickens, quails, horses, rabbits, cats, and even tortoises. This variety allows us to offer fresh products directly – such as eggs and schnapps made from our own fruit. So, for our guests, there's not only much to see but also to taste.
With the Ember Suite, we have created a modern holiday apartment – with 120 m² of living space, room for up to 4 people, and high-quality furnishings. Two bedrooms with box-spring beds, a bathroom with a rain shower, a bright living area with a fireplace, and a private Finnish sauna offer great comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped – you can plan your day freely, without fixed times or schedules. The balcony opens up views of the surrounding mountains – quiet, private, thoughtfully designed.
Summer ☀️
In the summer, you'll find numerous opportunities for excursions and activities in the surrounding area. Popular destinations like the Eisriesenwelt, Hohenwerfen Castle, or the Copper Mine show mine are quickly accessible. Hikers enjoy tours on the Salzburger Almenweg, cyclists use the Tauernradweg – and golfers are drawn to St. Johann Alpendorf.
Winter ❄️
The region around Pfarrwerfen also offers plenty of variety in winter. The Werfenweng ski resort is just a few minutes away and easily accessible with the free shuttle (W3). Cross-country skiing, tobogganing, winter hiking, or a ride on a horse-drawn sleigh – there's no boredom even off the slopes.

Thanks to the great variety of species on our farm, we can produce and sell a range of products. These include chicken and quail eggs, as well as various types of schnapps made from fruits grown in our own orchard.
In winter, our young cattle and calves spend their time on the farm, where they are raised with great care. As soon as the cows move to the alpine pastures in early summer, new life returns to the farm. Many turkeys and roosters then feel at home here.
We also keep chickens, quails, and horses, as well as many small animals – including rabbits, cats, and even turtles.

Welcome to the Ember-Suite – a private retreat, created for peace-seekers, couples, and connoisseurs who value design, privacy, and mindful reduction.
The suite is not a classic holiday property, but an exclusive chalet refuge spanning 120 m² of living space. Clear architecture, natural materials, and a warm atmosphere create space to switch off, breathe deeply, and arrive.
The chalet offers space for up to 4 people and features 2 high-quality bedrooms with comfortable box-spring beds. A modernly equipped bathroom with a rain shower, separate toilet, and a private Finnish sauna ensure true moments of well-being.
The open-plan living and dining area with a cozy fireplace is the heart of the suite. Large windows offer views of the surrounding mountains and bring nature indoors. The fully equipped kitchen invites you to structure your day without fixed times – deliberately without breakfast service or a set schedule.
A balcony with a panoramic view, absolute tranquility, and ample privacy make the Ember Suite a place for conscious time-outs. Whether it's your first coffee with a view, an evening sauna session, or relaxing by the fireplace – here, the feeling takes center stage.
