In Schoppernau, in the middle of the Bregenzerwald World Heritage Site - at 850 metres above sea level - our guests can experience farm life up close.
The stable doors are open: we are delighted when children help out. This gives the whole family an insight into our farm work with animals and nature in the rhythm of the seasons.
You are just a few metres away from the gateway to a hiker's paradise: Schoppernau is a certified hiking village. The valley station of the Diedamskopf mountain railway is right on our doorstep and invites you to enjoy wonderful tours with panoramic views. Here you will find well-marked trails that allow you to experience the special features of the region.
The village centre of Schoppernau with its cosy inns, shops, mountain cheese dairy and much more is just a 5-minute walk away.
From May to October you can enjoy unlimited mountain experiences with the Bregenzerwald & Großes Walsertal Guest Card: free travel on the mountain railways, public buses and free entry to the outdoor pools - and this is included free of charge in your stay from just three nights.

Winter holidays right on the piste - right in the middle of the Schoppernau snow paradise
In Schoppernau, in the middle of the Bregenzerwald World Heritage Site - at 850 metres above sea level - our guests can experience farm life up close.
The stable doors are open: we are delighted when children help out. This gives the whole family an insight into our farm work with animals and nature in the rhythm of the seasons.
Your skiing day starts just a few metres from our farm - with the valley station of the Diedamskopf cable cars right outside the door. Look forward to a varied ski area with modern lifts and wonderful descents.
The ski school meeting point and the practice area are right behind our farm - ideal for beginners and children. In the ‘Didis’ children's adventure land on the Diedamskopf, young guests can enjoy fun and games in the snow - free of charge and with the best supervision.
Cross-country skiers can look forward to an extensive network of trails - perfectly groomed every day and leading through the entire valley to Au. Night skiing and tobogganing are possible on the Grunholz lift in Au.
Our hotel is also located in a certified hiking village. A hiking village combines the location, hosts, trails and infrastructure into a harmonious whole for your perfect winter holiday.

We have fresh hay milk, eggs and cheese on the farm every day!
For our house guests we offer a daily bread roll service on request.
You can also try and buy different types of honey and ointments for faster wound healing at the Albrecht farm.

Animals
"Mom, when is stall time?" We often hear the children ask in the morning.
When they are finally invited to stable time in the evening, the children's eyes light up. It is something very special to help on the farm and to be so close to the animals. With us you can also learn a lot and become a little farmer yourself.
See you soon dear children, we are looking forward to you!
Our cows are on the alpine pasture in summer and enjoy the fresh grass and the wonderful tasting alpine herbs. The meadows in the valley are mowed, the grass is dried and the won hay is stored in the barn for the cold season.
Also our cat "Elsa" and the cozy tomcat "Felix" can be found in the barn and around the farm and are happy to be petted.
