Hargenhof

Our Hargenhof is located at 564 meters above sea level in green surroundings in Unken, the gateway to the Pinzgau. Here in the Salzburger Saalachtal in the Salzburger Land, you can enjoy relaxing peace and quiet and be right in the middle of the holiday action at the same time. You can reach the village center of Unken in about 15 minutes on a leisurely stroll along the Tauern Cycle Path. The Almenwelt Lofer, the Weißbach Nature Park, the neighboring Berchtesgadener Land and the City of Salzburg are also wonderful excursion destinations. The bus stop is only 300m from the farm – ideal for exploring the region even without a car.

🐓 Our Farm

Our roughly 500-year-old Hargenhof has been renovated in recent years with great attention to detail. It was particularly important to us to preserve the original character of the farmhouse while creating modern comfort. Chickens and our two cats live on our farm and are part of daily farm life. In our home garden and on the orchard meadow, valuable treasures of nature grow. From these, we produce delicious jams, fruity juices, and aromatic herb syrups. Fresh eggs are also among our farm-grown products. Here you can enjoy country life in a completely relaxed way!

Our 2 holiday apartments combine the charm of the historic farmhouse with contemporary furnishings. Look forward to plenty of space to relax, cozy bedrooms, an inviting living area, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, and coffee machine. Free Wi-Fi, bed linen, and towels ensure a pleasant stay. Free parking spaces and an e-car charging station are also available.

The Tauern Cycle Path passes directly by the Hargenhof – perfect for extensive cycling tours and leisurely e-bike excursions. Hiking enthusiasts can discover the impressive mountain world on a tour to the Hochalm, the Wildalm, or the Sonntagshorn. The Heutal high moor and the Winkelmoosalm are also particularly worth seeing. If you fancy a change of pace, visit the Vorderkaserklamm gorge, explore the Lamprechtshöhle cave, or try out hiking golf in Unken. On warm days, the outdoor pool beckons for a refreshing dip. With the Salzburger Saalachtal Card, you also benefit from numerous included excursion offers, and with the Guest Mobility Ticket, you can easily travel around the Salzburger Land by public transport.

In winter, the area surrounding the Hargenhof transforms into a diverse holiday paradise. The ski areas of Almenwelt Lofer and Steinplatte offer the best opportunities for enjoyable days of skiing. The ski bus can be reached in just a three-minute walk. Cross-country skiers can enjoy the trails in the Heutal, while snowshoe hikes through the snow-covered landscape invite you to experience special natural encounters. A fun toboggan ride is also part of a winter holiday. During the Advent season, atmospheric Advent and Christmas markets provide pre-Christmas magic.
