Sunnily located at the edge of the forest, near a bubbling brook, the Erbhof Hacklbauer awaits you in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee – right in the heart of Salzburger Land. Thanks to its quiet, secluded location away from main roads, our farm is ideal for families with children, nature lovers, and those seeking peace and quiet. Meadows, fields, and forests around the farm invite you to relax and discover.
Many Animals and a Large Orchard
At our traditional greenland farm with dairy cattle, you'll experience authentic country life up close. Around the farm, you'll find rabbits, cats, ponies, chickens, and cows – many of them year-round. Children can simply be children: a large playground with a sandbox, paddling pool, and plenty of space to run around ensures fun and variety. The orchard with apple, pear, and plum trees is not only a place to relax but also provides the fruit for our homemade juices, jams, and schnapps. On rainy days, you can get creative in our farm workshop.
Our lovingly furnished holiday apartments are located in the attic of the over 400-year-old farmhouse. They are accessible via a private entrance and furnished with great attention to detail using local wood from our own workshop. The natural construction provides a warm, cozy living atmosphere – perfect for unwinding and feeling good.
Summer Activities
Directly from the farm, you can embark on leisurely strolls or scenic hikes towards Zauchensee or up the Lackenkogel. Families love the adventure hiking trail "Alles Alm" in Zauchensee or a trip to the idyllic Seekarsee. Cyclists will find varied routes – from the Ennsradweg to mountain bike trails through the mountains. For a refreshing cool-down, visit Lake Reitdorf or the Therme Amadé, just a five-minute drive away, with slides, wave pools, and a sauna. Climbing, horseback riding, a ride on the summer toboggan run in Flachau, or an excursion to the Liechtensteinklamm will also make your holiday diverse and unforgettable.

In winter, our farm is located right in the heart of Skiwelt Amadé – with top ski resorts like Zauchensee, Flachau, Altenmarkt-Radstadt, or Schladming in close proximity. The Tauern and Olympia cross-country ski trails pass directly by the house – ideal for cross-country skiers. Children can frolic in the snow, build snowmen, or zoom across the farmyard on a sled. Away from the slopes, you'll find winter hiking trails, toboggan runs, romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides, and snowshoeing. After an active winter day, relax in your warm holiday apartment or treat yourself to comforting warmth in our infrared sauna – ideal for warming up and unwinding.

Animals
The Hacklbauer is a grassland farm with dairy cattle. At the moment we have 16 cows, 6 female calves and 6 male calves on the farm. In summer the calves are up on the mountain pastures in Zauchensee. The dairy cows graze in the meadows at home.
Kids just love the rabbits, cats and ponies running around our farm. In the hen house there's lots of feathered friends too. The hens provide us with fresh eggs and the ducks help us chase the snails away. We seek to live with in harmony with, to cherish and preserve nature for our descendants. In this way we can offer our guests a healthy, well-cared for, natural surroundings for their holiday.

Our holiday apartment Erle was lovingly furnished in our own workshop using local solid wood. The natural materials create a warm and pleasant living atmosphere – ideal for your family holiday.
On 54 m² you can expect 2 separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom (shower & toilet) as well as an additional sofa bed in each room. A cot or extra bed can be easily added if required. The Apfel apartment, spanning 40 m², features 2 separate bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and toilet, a fully equipped kitchen, a balcony with a view, and a private infrared cabin for relaxation. The master bedroom has space for a cot, ensuring even the youngest guests are well looked after. The furnishings were crafted with great care in our on-site workshop and offer everything you need for a relaxing stay.
