At the foot of the Dachstein, at 980 metres above sea level, lies the Mandlberggut – a certified organic farm in the heart of the Salzburger Land, nestled between Ramsau am Dachstein and Radstadt. Surrounded by the majestic mountain scenery, our farm is a place of deceleration – where nature, craftsmanship and genuine hospitality come together.
We, the Warter family, manage our farm with deep conviction and in harmony with nature. Organic farming is not a trend for us – it’s a way of life. It shapes our daily routines as much as the products we create, and offers you as our guest a truly healthy and authentic environment.
The exclusive Gutshaus Mandlberg accommodates up to 25 guests – ideal for those seeking relaxation, for families, couples or groups. A charming mix of stylish double rooms with breakfast and spacious self-catering apartments allows you to enjoy a flexible yet high-quality stay. All units can be booked individually – perfect for couples or small families. For special occasions, the entire house can also be rented exclusively – for celebrations, retreats with friends or inspiring business events in a unique setting.
All apartments are furnished to a high standard, designed with natural materials and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding alpine landscape.
A real highlight of your stay is our on-site pine distillery, the Schnaps Museum, and our "Latschenkiefer Mandlberggut" natural cosmetics line. Join a guided tour or tasting and discover how we transform the power of the mountain pine into fine spirits, syrups and care products – crafted by hand, directly on the farm.

In summer, nature begins right on your doorstep: hiking trails lead through the alpine pastures of the Radstädter Tauern and to the southern face of the Dachstein. Especially recommended: the hike to the Südwandhütte or the panoramic Rossbrand summit with a 360° view. For cooling off, head to the Eben bathing lake or the Amadé Thermal Spa in Altenmarkt. Families love the Rittisberg Adventure Mountain with summer toboggan run, climbing park and lake.
In winter, the Mandlberggut is ideally located between top ski resorts: within minutes you reach the Reiteralm, part of the Ski amadé network – Austria’s largest ski area. Also nearby: Radstadt-Altenmarkt, Zauchensee, and the Dachstein Glacier. A scenic cross-country ski trail with Dachstein views starts right at the farm. And if you prefer a slower pace, enjoy a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snowy landscape or visit the charming Advent market in Filzmoos.
