Gut Hornegg

Welcome to “Gut Hornegg”, a traditional establishment which is run by Heinrich Holler, who follows the principles of organic agriculture and high quality standards.

“Gut Hornegg” is located within the wine-growing areas Sausal (by Kitzeck) and “Schilcherland”. The pleasures of the “südsteirische Weinstraße” (the wine route in southern Styria) are supplemented by fish from local aquaculture.

The imperfect is charming, that is why most of the original features of the holiday apartments were remained.

Swimming

Great Spiegelpond and Haselgrabenpond are equipped with a bathing jetty, a lawn for sunbathing, small islands and a canoe, all of which can exclusively be used by guests.

Wellness

The tiny wellness house, located on the roof of the old nursery, offers spa-pleasures and privacy. The wellness house provides a Finnish sauna, a hot stone-cot and a relaxing area with a great view into nature.

Castle-kitchen

Guests have the opportunity to enjoy exclusive meals in the castle-kitchen. Our cuisine is regional, seasonal and down-to-earth. If time permits, you are very welcome to cook with us.

In case you are visiting over the weekend, you can sign up for a healthy and delicious breakfast in the castle-kitchen.

Fishing

We provide our guests with the opportunity to catch and prepare fish from our own aquaculture.
