About Us

The cabin is accessible from the village by car in about 10 minutes and on foot in about 45 minutes. The mountain station and the Koppeneck restaurant as well as the Ochsenhütte are accessible on foot in about one hour. Underneath the gondola lift there is a 2.8 km long summer toboggan run which takes you down into the valley at speeds of around 40 km per hour. There is a very wide range of hiking trails to choose from. Europe's highest situated monastery, the Kloster Maria Waldrast is also just about one and a half hours away by car. A lovely walk on the peak of the 2800m high Serles (also known as the Altar of the Tyrol) at sunrise is an experience which is not to be missed.  This is about 4 - 5 hours' walk from the chalet. 

Local amenities include: A doctor, food market, bakery, butcher and petrol filling station. The regional capital Innsbruck is about 20 minutes away by car.  

Farm products and catering

Try our homemade schnapps and our own bacon. The four hens also lay eggs, which taste very tasty. Since spring 2019 we also have a small beekeeping, so we also have our own honey.

Animals

At the moment we have 14 highland cattle and a bull. We have two pigs, a rooster who takes very good care of his three hens and lovingly takes care of them. Our cat "Heidi" is very happy about the pats.
