About Us

The Grubsteighof is idyllically situated at 900 m above sea level in St. Koloman in Salzburger Land, surrounded by the impressive mountains of the Osterhorn Group. From here, you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the mountains and the valley – perfect for unwinding and recharging your batteries.

At the farm, you'll experience a genuine holiday on an organic farm. You can watch the cows being milked or look forward to fresh breakfast eggs from the chickens. Besides cows and calves, ducks, rabbits, cats, and the goat “Schnecki” also live here. The farm is a paradise especially for children: The large playground features a play tower, slide, swing, sandbox, trampoline, toy tractors, and children's bikes – it never gets boring here.

For relaxation, the heated panoramic outdoor pool invites you to unwind – with a view of the mountains. Or you can visit the idyllic Seewaldsee for a swim. If you desire even more wellness, you'll find four thermal spas within 30 minutes.

In summer, Grubsteighof is the perfect starting point for hikes to the Trattberg, Schlenken, Bergalm, or Postalm. You can also rent e-bikes directly at the farm and leisurely explore the surroundings.

In winter, the tranquil snowy landscape around St. Koloman beckons. Popular ski resorts like Dachstein West, Ski Amadé or Flachau can be reached in about 30 minutes. The natural toboggan run on Trattberg, ski tours in the Osterhorn Group, or cross-country skiing on the Panoramaloipe Wegscheid provide sporty variety. Winter hikes, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and an excursion to the wintry city of Salzburg will also make your holiday unforgettable.

Farm Products

Many animals are on our farm all year round. Cows that are milked twice a day and deliver the free organic milk for our guests, chickens for the organic eggs, calves, cats, rabbits and a goat. Of course there are many organic products directly from us and from the region. Organic honey, jam, schnapps and liqueurs from our own production, organic cheese dairy and organic shop in the neighbouring village.

On 75 m², you'll find ample space for up to 6 people. Two comfortable bedrooms with king-size beds ensure restful sleep. In the living area, two sofa beds are available, and a baby or cot can be provided upon request.

The large eat-in kitchen is fully equipped: 4-plate stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, and egg cooker. The dining table offers space for the whole family. A flat-screen TV, free high-speed Wi-Fi, and a safe complete the amenities.

In the modern bathroom, you'll find a shower, toilet, hairdryer, and fresh towels. The entire apartment is furnished to a high standard with rustic reclaimed wood – cozy, charming, and stylish all at once.
