Experience the Farm
Join us as we care for our animals every day. Together, we look after their well-being, feed them, refill the water troughs, collect eggs, and muck out the stables. Of course, there is always plenty of time for cuddles too. You can come and visit the animals in our petting zoo at any time. You will also occasionally run into our lovely cats and free-roaming rabbits around the farm. :)

About Us
Welcome at our organic farm Biohof Greflgut!
Our idyllic farm in the beautiful Salzkammergut region is a real paradise for animal and nature lovers. We run an organic farm with stables, a petting zoo, organic pigs and a farm shop. Our guests can spend the night in one of the three high-quality holiday apartments, enjoy the peace and quiet or actively explore nature.
In our farmhouse, which looks back on 200 years of history, we have furnished three brand new holiday apartments with great attention to detail and a passion for natural materials. Sustainability meets craftsmanship: Real wooden floors create a feel-good ambience. Wood that our granddad himself felled in his own forest and stored in the attic for decades - we have unearthed this treasure. The washbasins in the bathroom, for example, were made by hand by the carpenter. They are truly unique! The wood from our forest provides us with cosy warmth - thanks to our new wood chip heating system. We cover part of our electricity requirements thanks to the PV system.
Do you just love being out in nature? Then, you've found the right place to stay. Enjoy the peace and quiet, relax over breakfast on the spacious balcony or take a relaxing walk across flowering meadows or through the forest. The Dürre Ager stream is just a few minutes' walk away, where you can enjoy the idyllic landscape while the water ripples past you. The Way of St James passes not far from our farm. For those who want to be active in nature, there are countless hiking and cycling tours. You can cycle along the Ager river to Lake Attersee in around 45 minutes.
On our organic farm you will find many happy animals that are kept in a species-appropriate manner and with lots of love. Of course, there is also plenty to savour. In our own organic butcher's shop, we produce delicious meat and sausage products - naturally made with a great deal of love for the craft and the animal.

Farm products and catering
You can sample our range of products and buy your favourites in our farm's own certified organic butcher's shop. The best meat and sausage products such as ham, cheese sausage and bratwurst are produced with a great deal of love for the craft using natural ingredients. And that’s why the food here is so delicious! Whether for barbecues on the farm, for preparing in your home or for at home, you can stock up on delicacies from us.
Fresh organic eggs from our happy hens are also available. You can buy fresh milk, oats, flour, spelt rice and pasta from our neighbouring farmers. Fresh cheese, yoghurt or butter from the village can be bought either directly or using our order form.
Enjoy our organic meat in the gourmet restaurant "Die Schmiede ", where award-winning chef Martin Kinast creates delicious dishes from it with great attention to detail. The restaurant is about 7 kilometres away from our organic farm. A visit to one of the 4 neighbouring inns can be combined with a lovely walk along the Ager stream or through the forest (approx. 30-45 min.).
Animals
Our farm is home to a wide variety of animals. quails, 25 chickens and horses (which are owned by private individuals), 50 pigs and our petting zoo. There is so much to discover at our farm!
Two rabbits and four cats live freely on the farm and enchant with their carefree nature.
From 2025 you can pet dwarf sheep and other lovely animals in our petting zoo and spend time with them.
We will be happy to recommend horse-riding options in the surrounding area. Unfortunately, we don’t offer riding lessons on our farm.

Holiday Apartment

Cosy and spacious - with three separate bedrooms, this accommodation is perfect for families or groups of up to 5 people. The bathroom has both a large bathtub and a spacious shower as well as a hairdryer. Laundry can be washed and dried in the separate toilet room. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with an oven, ceramic cooktop, fridge + freezer compartment and a coffee machine to cater for your holiday needs. A special highlight: the 24 m² covered balcony where you can enjoy breakfast or simply relax.
For breakfast, you can order a range of locally sourced food products individually from us or buy them yourself from our neighbours' farm shops:

Beautifully situated on the sunny side, you have the best view of the stables and the paddock. You can enjoy your breakfast with a view of the horses on the 16 m² covered balcony. Cosily furnished with lots of wood and natural materials, you can really feel at home. Prepare your meals in the high-quality kitchen with steam cooker, ceramic cooktop, fridge + freezer compartment and coffee machine. In the separate, sunlit bathroom you will find a large shower, toilet and hairdryer.

This double room is small but well equipped with everything you need on holiday. A sunlit bathroom with spacious shower, WC and hairdryer. An eat-in kitchen with ceramic cooktop, steam cooker, fridge + freezer compartment, coffee machine, safe and TV. And a balcony with seats overlooking the ponies, the horse pasture and the petting zoo. Here you can enjoy a pleasant time with cosy beds in the former granary.

Arriving by train: We will be happy to organise a taxi to pick you up from the nearby train station “Vöcklamarkt/Vöcklabruck”.
Arriving by car From the A1 motorway between Salzburg and Linz, you can reach us in 10 minutes by car at the "Seewalchen" exit. Coming from Passau via the A8 motorway, exit at "Ried im Innkreis" and you will be at Greflgut in 30 minutes.
