Whether it’s a climb up the well-known mountain Traunstein or a relaxing hike to an alpine hut – for those who like being on their feet, the Grafhaidergut is ideally located within a short drive to the access points of any hiking trail desired. We lend Nordic walking poles and Smoveys.
Our beautiful valley Kremstal is the ideal starting point of many extraordinary bike tours. Whether with a racing bike, a mountain bike or an e-bike – the well signposted bike trails and the hilly landscape make you experience pure joy in sports!
Enjoy the summer at the lakeside: the reservoir in Klaus and the natural lakes Gleinkersee, Traunsee, Laudachsee, Almsee and Attersee are all within a max. 40 minutes’ drive from us.
For speedsters on the snowy slopes: it only takes you approx. 35 minutes to get to the ski resorts Hinterstoder, Kasberg and Wurzeralm.
The newly built bathing pond (in 2020) which our guests may use is arguably one of our highlights. The crystal-clear water is refreshing for body and mind, and the stunning panorama view simply makes you want to stay. Our pond does not require any chemicals – the water is pure and filled with life … and that’s how it feels.
Besides our farmyard and the former cider pressing house, our forest (3 hectares) provides many spots for taking some deep breaths, coming to rest and recharging your batteries. Wellness in the forest could look like this:
watch the trees closely from one of the “forest hammocks”,
smell the different scents of the forest,
watch the children building a cave,
collecting “souvenirs” or
enjoy the atmospheric silence of the forest while sitting on a bench.

That’s tasty … our homemade jams, apple sauce from our White Transparent apple tree, apple juice, chocolate liqueur and “Vierkanter” schnapps.
Animals
Our Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs Aura and daugther Cuna are everybody’s darling although, initially, some might have respect because of their height. They are good-natured dog with an affinity to people and loves being stroked and groomed by our guests.
As registered breeders of cats, it makes us happy to have kittens every once in a while.

This has always been our favourite spot all year round, also when the cider pressing house was still in use. The sun, the mountain view and a small vineyard next to the terrace – what an ideal combination for coming to rest and recharging one’s batteries. Depending on the season, you can take some raspberries, blackberries, snack cucumbers and cherry tomatoes from our snack garden.
