Enjoy the power of the mountains, feel nature in its purest form, far away from stress and that hectic rush - our quaint, cosy mountain cabin lets you relax while surrounded by a breathtaking mountain landscape. Relax and leave your everyday life behind. Wake up with the marmots, refresh yourself at the fishpond, discover untouched alpine paths - perhaps you may find a little piece of gold there?

Our standalone Goldgräberhütte was constructed ourselves at 1,650 m above sea level with a lot of passion and creativity. We place great value on details in furnishings such as benches, lampshades and furniture in the living room and bedroom - all from our domestic wood. 
Goldgräberhütte is fully-equipped and offers room for up to 6 persons with bedrooms (4 + 2 beds), bathroom, extra toilet and comfortable, cosy living room. You can enjoy nature, relax in the loungers at the large cabin space or grill your favorite food on the open fireplace.

The view of the mountains gives you a sense of freedom - from sunrise to sunset.
The cabin’s location makes it ideal for hikes directly from the cabin or for excursions to the artists’ city in Gmünd, to the Katschberg, the Pölla valley on the choo-choo train, or a swimming trip to Lake Millstatt.

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed at our hut.

Goldgräberhütte

1 - 6 People

Cosy and creatively-furnished cabin for 6 people. Lobby, toilet, bathroom with shower (warm water via a gas heater), dining room, living room with fully-equipped kitchen, spacious sitting area, wooden stove (can also be used for baking), couch.

1 bedroom with double bed and 2 single beds and 1 bedroom with double bed can be reached via a staircase (cot available upon request). Please bring your own bedsheets and towels.

Approx. 8 km from Rennweg, of which 5.5 km is asphalt and 2.5 km is very good forest road. Accessible up to the cabin with a passenger car. Parking available in front of the cabin.
