About Us
Enjoy restorative, restful and eventful holidays at our mountain farm. The ancestral farm lies quietly amid a beautiful mountain and meadow landscape and has been carefully expanded in the old timber style. The three holiday apartments and 3 double rooms with amenities offer a very healthy ambience. Start the day with a tasty breakfast buffet with home-grown organic products. Thus fortified, it's time to face the day: Conquer the big playground, experience the forest, stroke and observe the animals, visit our self-managed mountain pasture, bake some bread, tread water as per Father Kneipp, go cycling or hiking, splash about in the nearby brook or simply let your soul fly free...
About Us
Enjoy care-free, recuperating and high action holidays with your family at our mountain farm in winter. The family farm is located amongst a wonderful snow-sure mountain landscape. Holiday apartments and rooms have a timber construction and are appointed with careful attention to detail. A very healthy living environment dominates through the untreated wood, cut according to the cycle of the moon.
You can go skiing in the nearby Heutal family skiing region or at Almenwelt Lofer. Bargain lift tickets, points cards, packages are available to choose from.
There are great toboggan runs on the Hochalm, Mahder am Unkenberg or right next to our farm. Have you ever tried snowshoeing? It's lots of fun! Perhaps you simply feel like building a large snowman with the children or enjoying a cup of cocoa with rum or a mulled spiced cider in the rustic barbecue hut which has an open fireplace.
We have a nice play room for the children. For drying or warming up ski boots we have our own shoe drier in the ski room.
Our ancestral farm has been organic for generations. Here with us you will experience authentic agriculture with our own breeding and dairy cows, which are allowed to go on their very own 'holiday' on our alpine pasture. The Almabtrieb (drive from the mountain pasture) takes place at the beginning of September.
Enjoy our farm's own organic produce for breakfast, for example fresh milk, tasty mountain pasture butter, home-made jams, fresh herbs, farmhouse bread.
You are also of course welcome to purchase products for the holiday apartment. Try our home-distilled schnapps, liqueurs or use the tinctures and herbal creams. We are happy to provide you with a fragrant hay pillow.
Help out baking bread, churning and shaping butter, making tinctures and creams...
It's not only the children that enjoy contact with the animals. Animals radiate a certain peace and contentment. For stroking we've got our sweet goats, kittens, rabbits and our ponies Smartie and Sunny. The children are welcome to ride our ponies.
In summer, our cows are to be found up on the mountain pasture and are welcomed home in early September. You are welcome to help out during the hay harvest or in the stables.
