About Us

Escape everyday life and immerse yourself in the clear mountain air, the tranquility, and the idyllic nature! The Lamprechtbauer is located high above the charming mountaineering village of Mauthen, right on the Plöcken Pass. Here, a breathtaking view over the entire valley awaits you – the perfect starting point for unforgettable hikes in the Carnic Alps. Enjoy what is surely the most beautiful view over the Lower Lesachtal and the Upper Gailtal.

In our house, we serve you traditional Carinthian cuisine, prepared with fresh products from our own farm as well as delicious specialties from the Gailtal and Lesachtal region. From Gailtal alpine cheese and homemade bacon to local game – here you can taste the quality and the love for nature.

Leave the stress behind and relax in the midst of untouched nature! We are here for you from May to October.

Each room is furnished with natural wood furniture and features a double bed, a seating area, a bathroom with a shower, washbasin, toilet, and an anteroom. The rooms facing east offer a wonderful view of our beautiful Gail Valley. Here, you will be kissed awake in the morning by the first rays of sunshine. Facing west, you can enjoy the afternoon sun with a view of the Mussen.
