About Us
As a young family in full-time farming, we are eager to help our guests get to know farming life with all that it entails.
Our farm lies in the forested rolling hills around the Cistercian monastery of Rein. The proximity to the regional capital Graz, and to sights such as the open air museum of Stübing, the Lurgrotte (grotto), the Lipizzaner stables at Piber, the Bärenschützklamm gorge, the nearby alpine highlands and much much more, make our farm the ideal holiday destination.
Cooling off in our swimming pool, going for a ride on our Haflinger horse, or pony Amelie, playing tennis or beach volleyball, simply lazing around and enjoying the summer freshness on our sunbathing lawn while the children explore the world of the farm animals all offer a wonderful way of relaxing from the stress of daily life.
Our farm is a family business with a dairy, pig breeding, fruit and vegetables - the perfect basis for a rich variety of farmhouse delicacies, which you are welcome to sample.
NEW: Our dairy barn - a beautiful compost shed built with our own wood, for some months now offers you the possibility to observe the animals all day long, without disturbing them! Many of our guests really enjoy this, as you automatically take on the peaceful mood of the animals...
This also means that we have come a step further in allowing holiday makers, and thus also our consumers, even more of an overview of our daily working life, and so make the production process more understandable.

About Us
Due to the altitude, snow cannot of course be guaranteed. However the pre-Christmas season in particular offers some very interesting events in our area. I would especially like to mention an event at the Stübing open-air museum: "Gingerbread and Pine" - Advent as it used to be, with candle light, warm kitchens with open fires, handicrafts for children, contemplative readings, singing and games... a really peaceful day that you won't forget! Advance tickets on sale from May - because entry is limited - only those that are quickest will get tickets!!!!
In addition there is Advent in Graz, and also in the Abbey near us there are always new exhibitions. Ice skating and tobogganing are pretty much always possible in our municipality. For us, it is of course somewhat quieter on the farm at this time of year....

The proximity to the state capital Graz and to numerous sights such as the open-air museum in Stübing, the Lurgrotte caves, very nice cycle paths for both professionals and amateurs, the Lippizan Studfarm in Piber, the Bärenschützklamm gorge, the nearby alpine pastures and much more, make our farm the ideal holiday destination! Our holiday apartment for 2 to 4 persons over 64 m² offers comfort and lots of space to relax in. 2 separate bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, as well as combined living room/kitchen, a spacious bathroom and a WC round off the amenities in the cosy accommodation. Lots of wood and light are the focus of this apartment. Extra beds are possible. Shopping opportunities in an area of 1 to 2 km. Homebaked goods, juices, jam, milk and meat are available on our farm.

Farm products and catering
We have a whole host of animal friends on the farm! My two daughters help us to look after the "little creatures"!
Apart from our rabbits (7 in number) - who naturally need something to nibble on all day long, we also have several cats - big and small - who love to be stroked and played with! Aron, our golden retriever, is a peaceful soul and irresistible, though not the best guard dog in the world, his friendliness and sense of family are clearly his first priority!
Bella and Benni, our two dwarf goats, delighted everyone on the farm last year, and we are eagerly expecting their first offspring! They are cheeky and playful, always ready for fun, and the darlings of all our guests - not only the children! We are really looking forward to the babies!!!
My daughters' favourites, however, are the horses! Now that we have moved our cows to the new shed, we have been able to convert the old one into a very comfortable stable for the horses!! We are almost finished, and will then have 4 boxes for horses, who knows, maybe there will be some foals on the way! We will post photos when we move them to the new stables! My two riding daughters spend every spare minute with the animals, love to play in the saddle room or out on the new riding arena, which we have just built along with the stables! There is no chance of being bored! Amelie, the pony, and Astor, the Haflinger, are ridden by my daughters, and our guests' children are also welcome to find out how much fun riding them can be!
Along with the cows we often have calves and young cows, sometimes they are on the alpine pasture in summer or around the house!
We also have 2-3 pigs - the good meat and sausages has to come from somewhere!

Arrival
Motorway exit A2 Gratkorn Nord towards the Rein Abbey, drive through Gratwein, round the roundabout in the direction of the Rein Abbey then towards the ENZENBACH hospital. Our farm lies directly on the left side of the road on a little hill. Our dwarf goats have their enclosure directly next to the road!
