Welcome to the Sternenblick Holiday Cabin
Pitch-black night. No streetlights, no headlights from cars. And yet: the eye adjusts and suddenly you see a map of lights in the sky. Snuggled up in a deck chair in front of the cabin, it is cozy and warm. A little closer to heaven, a holiday evening begins with us in the Mölltal, at 1,300 meters above sea level. Everyday stress is soon forgotten.

* Maximum occupancy: 4 people: 1 double room, 1 children's room with separate beds (possibility to push the beds together), stone pine wood furniture.

The wood for the cabin's furnishings comes from our own forests. It was felled by ourselves and lovingly processed into high-quality furniture together with local craftsmen. You can see, feel, and smell this as soon as you enter the cabin: a place where you can feel at home straight away.
From the Grossglockner to the Asten
The holiday cabin is located in Ranach, which is a small village in the Mölltal mountains - mind you, on a mountain meadow. A day hike leads directly from the cabin up to the Gartl, our local mountain. Cranberries, blueberries, and mushrooms can be found in the nearby forest and on the alpine pastures above at the right time of year. Wonderful, that makes for a great dinner.
Our farm is located just 200 meters from the holiday cabin. We keep Scottish Highland cattle, Fleckvieh, and Charolais cattle. You are very welcome to visit the animals. They spend the summer on the high alpine pasture.
Day Trips in the Region
Heiligenblut am Großglockner is located about 15 minutes away from us. The small village nestles picturesquely at the foot of the Grossglockner, Austria's highest mountain.
For our winter guests: the family-friendly Heiligenblut ski area can be found here.
On the opposite side of the valley from Ranach is the Asten, which is well-known far beyond the borders. A high valley in the Hohe Tauern, famous for its style of farming, its variety of flowers, and its unique scenery.
A few minutes away is the village of Großkirchheim. There is an attractive leisure park here: natural swimming pool, diving tower and slide, climbing tower, beach volleyball and tennis court, and much more.

Would you like to experience our holiday cabin in winter?
Deeply snow-covered winter landscapes, fresh and clear mountain air, deep blue skies... invite you to go skiing and have lots of fun in the snow. What could be nicer than making yourself comfortable in the cabin with a cup of tea after sledding, while the stove crackles and it starts to snow outside.
Newly built holiday cabin with all cabin comforts:
The holiday cabin is located in Ranach, which is a small village in the Mölltal mountains - situated on a mountain meadow at 1,300 meters above sea level. Sledding and snowshoeing are possible directly from the cabin. A 3 km long mountain road leads from the valley to the cabin. For this, all vehicles require winter equipment including snow chains!
Großglockner/Heiligenblut Ski Area
The Großglockner/Heiligenblut ski area is only 11 km away from us. Snow reliability in our region is high. With 47 kilometers of slopes and 10 ski lifts, there is sure to be something for everyone.
At a distance of 5 km is the Mitteldorflift in Großkirchheim. With a length of 450 meters, it is ideally suited for children and beginners.
If there is sufficient snow, the cross-country ski trail in the valley is also groomed for classic and skating styles.
Of course, all ski touring fans will also get their money's worth. There are numerous routes of all levels of difficulty nearby.
