About Us
Our farm is situated at an altitude of 1,330 metres above sea level in the village of Goldegg, within Mountain Farming Zone 4. The village of
Kaunerberg is a widely scattered settlement at the entrance to the Kaunertal valley. Our farm comprises 9 hectares of land that we own.
As a sideline, with the help of the whole family, we mainly run a livestock farm. On our farm we keep suckler cows, young cattle, fattening pigs, chickens, rabbits and a domestic cat. The farmers on the Kaunerberg slopes are known for their grey cattle breeding.
Although the number of farms has fallen by more than 35 per cent since 1950, the livestock population on the Kaunerberg has remained almost unchanged – it is not just the figures that show how deeply rooted the people of Kaunerberg are in nature, the mountains and the animals.

The well-known skiing areas in our region can be reached easily and quickly (Kaunertal Glacier, Ladis-Fiss-Serfaus, Silvretta Skiing region, Arlberg). If you are more of a cosy kind of person, you can explore our winter wonderland on foot. Be it a toboggan ride, cross-country skiing or ice skating - you won't get bored! Recreation centre with indoor swimming pool nearby. The Kaunerberg is an ideal starting point for hiking and mountain tours. In winter, the well-known skiing areas of our region Kaunertal Glacier, Ladis-Fiss-Serfaus, Silvretta skiing region, Arlberg) can be reached quickly and easily. The famous tri-border region Switzerland-Austria-Italy is a popular excursion destination for all ages.
