About Us
We recently had the opportunity to acquire this wonderful, historic Bregenzerwald farmhouse, located directly opposite us – we live just across the street. Here, you as our guests can gain insight into the agriculture and forestry of our beautiful Bregenzerwald valley, as this property offers not only comfortable holiday accommodation but also living agricultural history.
You are sure to feel right at home in the renovated and lovingly furnished holiday apartments. In addition, the spacious garden with plenty of room and seating areas invites you to linger and relax. A barbecue and outdoor children's play equipment are also at your disposal.
Our curious chickens and family cat Cindy love to be petted and fed. Additionally, by arrangement, you can also visit the animals at the neighboring "Mooshof" farm run by the Greber family.
Depending on the season, we grow a wide variety of salads and vegetables in our garden, and we have also planted berries, fruit trees, grapes, and various herbs. We are happy to give you a glimpse of our garden, and trying the produce is highly encouraged.
Our children are also always happy to make new playmates – and since we live directly opposite the holiday home, family contact is easily made, and there are plenty of toys available. It is worth noting, however, that we spend the summer (from about the beginning of June to the beginning of September) up on the alpine pasture, but we are of course always delighted to welcome visitors there too and share a piece of the "alpine lifestyle" with you.
The Ferienhaus Moos 54 is an excellent starting point for numerous activities – for stays of 3 nights or more, the Bregenzerwald & Großes Walsertal Guest Card is included, offering free use of many cable cars, swimming pools, and public transport, as well as discounts on many other activities.
The outdoor pool in Schwarzenberg and the Bregenzerache river are popular swimming spots, perfect for cooling off on hot summer days. Both can be reached in just under a 15-minute walk, or of course by car, from the holiday home.
It is also worth mentioning the close proximity to the unique village center of Schwarzenberg – here you can admire a variety of beautiful, historic buildings, including the Baroque church, the Angelika Kauffmann Museum, and the Angelika Kauffmann Hall. Numerous cultural events (such as the Schubertiade, alpen:arte, various concerts, and markets) also take place in the village. The village center is only a 5-7 minute walk from the holiday home.

Recently, we were able to acquire this wonderful, old Bregenzerwald farmhouse, located directly opposite us – we live on the other side of the street. Here, you as our guests can gain an insight into the agriculture and forestry of our beautiful Bregenzerwald valley, because this property offers not only comfortable holiday accommodation but also tangible agricultural history.
You will certainly feel at home in the renovated and lovingly furnished holiday apartments. In addition, the spacious garden with plenty of space and seating invites you to linger. Depending on snow conditions, a toboggan ride is possible right on your doorstep. Outdoor children's play equipment (including shovels and snow sliders) is available.
Our curious chickens and family cat Cindy are happy to be stroked and fed. In addition, by arrangement, you can also visit the animals at the neighboring "Mooshof" farm owned by the Greber family.
In our garden, depending on the season, we grow a wide variety of salads and vegetables, but we have also planted berries, fruit trees, grapes, and various herbs. Even if gardening is a bit less active during the winter months, there is always something to experience here. We are also happy to tell you about our work during the warmer months or our life on the alpine pasture in summer.
Our children also look forward to playmates – and since we live directly opposite the holiday home, family connection is guaranteed and plenty of toys are available.
The Ferienhaus Moos 54 is a great starting point for numerous activities – also in winter:
nearby Bödele ski area or others such as Mellau (Mellau-Damüls ski area) in about 15 minutes by car, Schetteregg (approx. 20 min.), Diedamskopf (approx. 25 min.), Warth-Schröcken (approx. 40 min.) and many more.
Also worth mentioning is the proximity to the unique village center of Schwarzenberg – here you can marvel at a variety of beautiful buildings with history, including the Baroque church, Angelika Kauffmann Museum, and Angelika Kauffmann Hall. Numerous cultural events (e.g. Schubertiade, alpen:arte, various concerts and markets) also take place in the village. The village center is only a 6-minute walk from the holiday home.

- depending on the season, a wide variety of garden treasures (salads, vegetables, fruit, berries, and herbs) in various forms (depending on the season: fresh, pickled, as syrup or juice, jams, …)
In the immediate vicinity – just under 50 m away – is the Mooshof Greber (the largest dairy farm in the Bregenzerwald) with its own cheese dairy and farm shop. Here you can get a wide variety of cheeses, bacon and sausage products, liqueur, honey, and much more – all around the clock at the 24-hour vending machine.
In the village center of Schwarzenberg (which is within about 6 minutes' walking distance), there are several excellent inns and cafés as well as two grocery stores.
Animals
Our curious chickens and family cat Cindy always look forward to some cuddles and are happy to be fed.
In addition, you can visit the animals at the neighboring farm “Mooshof Greber” (just under 50 m away) during a short tour of the farm – where, alongside cows, cattle, and calves, there are also goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, and cats to see.

In our garden, we consistently avoid artificial fertilizers and pesticides – allowing crisp salads, fresh herbs, and sweet berries to grow completely naturally and healthily.
We deliberately focus on colorful diversity instead of monotony, in order to also create valuable habitats for bees and other beneficial insects.
We also continue this philosophy in our forestry: We manage our forests in a particularly gentle manner in the spirit of close-to-nature selection forestry, to preserve this valuable ecosystem for future generations.

This charming, 90 m² non-smoking holiday apartment in the attic (2nd floor, accessible via the rustic entrance in the historic barn) offers space for up to 6 people.
The apartment features two separate, cozily furnished bedrooms as well as a spacious, approx. 40 m² living room that offers additional sleeping options. The high-quality bed configuration (including a comfortable queen-size bed, a double bed, and two single beds) guarantees a restful sleep for the whole family. A baby cot is also available for our youngest guests.
In the separate, fully equipped kitchen, you can cook to your heart's content. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub with shower and a toilet, complemented by a separate guest toilet. Fresh towels are of course ready for you.

Arrival
Leave the Rheintalautobahn at the Dornbirn Nord exit and drive in the direction of Alberschwende/Bregenzerwald. After approximately 13 kilometers you will reach Egg. Leave the roundabout in the town center at the first exit towards Schwarzenberg. After approximately 4.1 kilometers you will reach the village center of Schwarzenberg; turn left at the last junction before the church in the direction of Moos. After approximately 450 m, the holiday home Moos 54 is located on the right-hand side.

- Arrival by bus is possible (nearest bus stop: Schwarzenberg Dorfplatz, approx. 0,5 km away)
