The Birkenhof is situated at 1000 metres above sea level on the sunny southern slope of Sulzberg with a fantastic view of the Bregenzerwald, the Allgäu and as far as Switzerland.
Children will find plenty of space around the house to play, run around and be amazed - whether in the large playground or with our animals. Cows, calves, hens and cats look forward to welcoming little guests.
For all those who want to enjoy an active holiday, the Bregenzerwald & Großes Walsertal Guest Card offers numerous inclusive services, such as free use of the mountain railways and public transport and free entry to the swimming pools, for stays of 3 nights or more.
We produce our farm products ourselves with great care.
Enjoy our farm's own delicacies such as fresh hay milk, eggs, hen's meat, honey, apple juice, cheese and fine brandies.

Winter on an organic farm - quiet, panoramic and full of possibilities
The Birkenhof is situated at 1000 metres above sea level on the sunny southern slope of Sulzberg with a fantastic view of the Bregenzerwald, the Allgäu and as far as Switzerland.
The panoramic cross-country ski trail starts right here in the village with a connection to the Oberreute cross-country ski trail network. Thanks to the floodlights on a four-kilometre circuit, cross-country skiing fun can continue from Monday to Friday until 8.30 pm.
For families and beginners, the village lift is very close by, while the Hochlitten and Hoch Häderich ski areas in Riefensberg and Hittisau offer a quick change of pace.
Those looking for a greater variety of pistes can reach Mellau-Damüls in just around 40 minutes. Winter hiking trails in Sulzberg invite you to enjoy the snow-covered landscape. And a visit to the Aquaria adventure pool in Oberstaufen provides soothing relaxation.
After an active day in the winter wonderland, your cosy home on the farm awaits - with animals, nature and the feeling of being in exactly the right place.
