About Us

The Eseialm - the cozy self-catering hut in SalzburgerLand

Nice that you have found us. Welcome to the Eseialm!

The Eseialm is located at 1,287 meters above sea level in the quiet Göriachtal valley, in the middle of the impressive mountain world of the Salzburger Lungau. Secluded from the hustle and bustle, surrounded by dense forests and lush alpine meadows, it is the perfect retreat for nature lovers, peace seekers and adventurers. Despite its secluded location, it is only 3 km from the village of Göriach and can be reached by car.

The hut - rustic flair for up to 15 people

Our self-catering hut combines rustic charm with simple coziness:

  • First floor: entrance hall, eat-in kitchen with wood-burning stove, large corner bench for sociable evenings, two double rooms, storage room and outhouse.
  • Upper floor: Large bedroom with two single beds and two bunk beds (possibly 3 additional beds) - perfect for families and groups.
  • Bathing hut: Additional double room and a bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC (hot water from bath heater).
  • Light & electricity: Thanks to the solar system, there is electric light, but no sockets.

Outside - enjoy pure nature

  •     Large garden with campfire site for cozy evenings under the stars.
  •     Spacious terrace with views of alpine meadows, wild animals and mountain panorama.
  •     Spring water fountain as a natural fridge for drinks and food.
  •     Fenced area - ideal for families with children.
  •     Solar shower in summer for a refreshing shower or cooling down.

1 - 15 People

The alpine hut offers an authentic and rustic hut experience. On the first floor there is a kitchen-cum-living room with wood-burning stove, 2 double rooms, a large storage room with firewood and an outhouse. One of the rooms serves as a passageway to the storage room.

Upstairs there is a large bedroom with six beds, which can be extended to sleep up to 15 people if required.

There is light thanks to solar panels, but no power sockets. There is no fridge - instead, the well in front of the hut serves as a natural cooling area, supplemented by two cool boxes. An outdoor solar shower is available in the summer months.

The outdoor area offers a fenced garden with a spring water fountain, a large terrace with seating and lounging areas and a barbecue area.

Bathing hut
Behind the hut is the bathing hut with an additional double room and a bathroom with washbasin, shower and bath heater, which needs to be heated for hot water. Next door is a flush toilet, which cannot be used in winter.

The hut is simply but comfortably furnished and impresses with lots of wood, rustic furniture and rustic charm. The eat-in kitchen is the central meeting point, where the wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth. Here you can cook, sit together and enjoy the hut flair.

Bed linen, crockery, tea towels and small towels are provided.
