About Us
Amidst the Hohe Tauern, something special awaits discovery: finding peace, reconnecting with nature and with yourself, rediscovering the sense for the essential things in life. Finally, time – time for you!
A warm welcome to Eckhausalm!
Our alpine hut is located at 1408m above sea level, in a quiet, sunny, secluded location with an unforgettable panoramic view, surrounded by lush meadows and forests where our cows and horses graze.
Out of consideration for our grazing livestock, pets are not allowed in our hut!
The alpine hut offers space for up to 6 people. It is built in a traditional style and furnished to a high standard. “Feel at home” is our motto….
On the ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy lounge with a large tiled stove for snug evenings, as well as the bathroom with shower and separate WC and drying room. The four-bed room is on the upper floor. Our own spring of the best drinking water quality feeds the outdoor fountain and provides the water supply for the house.
Large sun terrace for ultimate relaxation.
In summer, the hut is easily accessible by car via a gravel road.
Great hiking trails, the Hochalm Birds of Prey station, and gold panning are available in the wonderful mountain world nearby. Lace up your hiking boots and step out into the fresh mountain air.

About Us
Winter fairy tale - yes, they still exist, with us in Rauris
The sun glitters on the snowdrifts, the wind gently rustles through the snow-covered spruce tops, and there's snow in abundance - that's winter in Rauris!
Our Almhütte Eckhausalm is located in the middle of the ski area, yet you can enjoy the solitude of the alpine pasture. Your winter fairy tale begins right in front of the Eckhausalm: strap on your skis and off you go! You'll be the first on the slopes.
The Hochalmbahnen family ski area is not too large, easily manageable, yet offers several variations for all skiers. Short lift waiting times and ample space on the slopes are noteworthy. Tobogganing fun is also not to be missed, with a toboggan run located very close by.
Untouched winter landscapes invite you to ski and snowshoe. Slopes up to 2,200m with magnificent views await you! In winter, the hut is accessible via the lift facilities and is located approximately 150m below the middle station, on slopes 5 and 1, thus offering direct access to skiing pleasure.
Your luggage will be brought to the hut by us; arrival by private car directly to the hut is not possible in winter. A ski pass is required for the duration of your stay.
