Your Alpine Escape at the Ebenhütte on the Spielberg

The Ebenhütte is beautifully located on the Spielberg in the Tennengau region of the Salzburger Land, surrounded by the stunning Osterhorn mountain range. Situated at around 1,300 meters above sea level, it’s the perfect place if you're looking for peace, nature, and an authentic alpine experience. Whether summer or winter – here you’ll enjoy pure mountain charm, far away from the hustle and bustle.

🌄 Nature All Around – With Stunning Views

From the hut, you have breathtaking panoramic views of the Dachstein massif, the Tennengebirge, the Hagengebirge, and even all the way to Salzburg city. You're right in the heart of a hiking paradise – with trails starting directly at your doorstep. In winter, the Ebenhütte lies directly on the ski route from the chairlift mountain station down to the Spielberglift. The beginner’s lift for kids is within easy reach and visible from the hut.

🛏️ Cozy Space for up to 14 Guests

The Ebenhütte offers 5 double rooms and an additional room with bunk beds, making it ideal for groups of up to 14 people. With around 140 m² of living space, there’s plenty of room to relax. Two bathrooms with showers and toilets – one on each floor – ensure comfort even with a full house.

🌞 Accessible in Summer, an Adventure in Winter

In summer, you can reach the hut by car up to about 100 meters away, either via a toll road (€6 per trip) or a forest path. In winter, the Ebenhütte is only accessible on foot or with skis – making your stay a unique alpine adventure.

🍽️ Mountain Food Close By

Just a 15–20 minute walk from the hut, you’ll find traditional alpine inns serving regional dishes and hearty Austrian classics – perfect for a break during your hike or a cozy dinner after a long day outdoors.

🐕 Family & Pet Friendly

In front of the hut, there’s a large play meadow, a seating area, and sun loungers to relax. Pets are warmly welcome – the open space and natural surroundings are perfect for both people and animals.

In the spacious parlour on the ground level there is a seating area and a kitchenette with wood stove and oven. Additionally, there is 1 double room, 1 WC, and a shower with WC. A large, cool store room is in the cellar.

On the 1st floor there are 4 double rooms and a shower with WC.

The cabin is heated with a oil heater and wood, the warm water comes from a gas water heater and electricity is used to light it.
