Highlights

About Us

Surrounded by our farm animals, makes for an interesting holiday. Petting animals such as cats and guinea pigs delight children time and again. A very special experience are the alpacas grazing right in front of the house. Treks can also be booked with them. Cows with their calves also enrich our surroundings.

Spend the summer on the nearby alpine pasture on the Wöllaner Nock, where there are many hiking opportunities. There are also pigs, ducks and chickens on our farm.

A play corner is available in the holiday apartment, as well as in front of the rustic farmhouse. Next to it, you can relax in the sun with a magnificent panorama or under our rustic lime tree.

Holiday - pure nature! Guests who are also looking for sports will find a well-marked hiking and mountain biking network that passes right by the farm. Further opportunities for swimming, boating, sailing and fishing can be found in the nearby surrounding municipalities at Lake Ossiach, Lake Afritz and Lake Brennsee. The local mountain, the Gerlitze, offers the opportunity for paragliding. 

On the Wöllaner Nock there are two managed huts, from where you can also reach the Kaiserburg with the Flow Trail to Bad Kleinkirchheim. What more could you want! 

Carinthia also offers many interesting excursion options for adults and children. As Arriach is the geographic center of Carinthia, we are more than centrally located. Arriach and its surroundings also offer culinary delights, seasonal events and entertainment options!

Farm products and catering

Once a year, our alpacas are sheared. The wool is then processed in Salzburg into our own wool products, which are offered in our Alpaca Shop. Here, you can purchase wonderful socks, beanies, scarves, and headbands with great designs, as well as shoe insoles, duvets, and various accessories. Try them out – you will be delighted!

Animals

I run my farm with suckler cows and alpaca breeding, which I would like to expand even further. I have grown very fond of the alpacas. At the moment, I have 9 of them. Their names are Mariechen, Pocahontas, Stella, Lilly, Adonis, Piccasso, Casanova, Forrest Fernando, and Orkan Hansi. In addition, pigs grunt in the barn, chickens cackle, ducks run around, and cats meow around the yard - and they love to be petted. Guinea pigs are also waiting to be coaxed and fed. My dog Gina is very gentle and affectionate.

Arrival

On the A 2, A10 or A11, take the "Villach/Ossiachersee" exit, keep in the direction of Ossiachersee and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit towards Treffen/Millstättersee/Bad Kleinkirchheim. Follow the B 98 Millstätter Bundesstraße for approx. 6 km; you will reach the gorge (Klamm), where the road branches off to the right towards Arriach. Continue along the Teuchenlandesstraße L 46 to the junction for Arriach. In the center, drive past the municipal office and the large Protestant church, then cross a bridge, and from there always keep left uphill towards Wöllaner Nock/Geigerhütte/Walderhütte. Continue for approx. 4.5 km until you see the Wöllaner church below the road; drive down to it, past the dead-end street sign, and from there continue downhill for about another 1 km. We are the last farm. Have a safe trip!

If you are coming from Radenthein/Millstättersee, always drive to the center of Arriach first and from there to us. Navigation systems often suggest the route up from Afritz, but that is a forest road!!

The region is next to the border with Italy and Slovenia. Enjoy hikes and excursions in and around Villach or relax on one of the lakes.
