About Us
Welcome to the Distelkopfalm!
The alpine hut is surrounded by an idyllic natural landscape, a mild and healthy climate and a mountain landscape! All this makes our alpine hut a place of well-being, relaxation and enjoyment.
The hut used to be farmed and therefore has a spacious garden with plenty of seating and a fantastic view! Of course, you can also enjoy the view from our hotpot. It's also a wonderful place to watch the stars at night. The hotpot is heated with wood and its use is included once per stay. There is also a barbecue in the garden.
The hut is rustic, cosy and has only recently been renovated. The kitchen is well equipped and is the centre of the hut with a large dining table and a small wood-burning stove. The stove heats the entire hut and of course we provide you with the wood for it. On the 1st floor is the dormitory for up to 4 people. The shower and toilet (with flush) have been built onto the hut and are only accessible from the outside! The hut also has electricity from our photovoltaic system.
You can drive up to the hut by car! However, the last stretch is a bit steeper, so we recommend an SUV. If you are not so brave, you can park your car 150 metres from the hut. We will of course help you get to and from the hut. Once at the top, you can start hiking straight away! After some rain you can also try your luck at mushroom hunting!

The Hut
1 - 4 People
The hut has a kitchen and a dining room with a wood-burning stove on the ground floor. The sleeping facilities are on the upper floor. The WC (with flush) and the shower are only accessible from the outside. The price includes table and bed linen.
Bed storage on the upper floor:
- Main room with 4 mattresses and slatted frame
- Anteroom with pull-out bed
Access:
For the less courageous there is the possibility to park the car 150 metres in front of the hut,
as the last stretch of road is a little steeper.
