Nestled in Au, a picturesque and certified hiking village in Vorarlberg, our quiet yet central location offers the ideal starting point for your relaxing or active mountain holiday.
Imagine starting your day with a homemade breakfast featuring fresh eggs from our cheerful flock of hens and wholesome hay milk straight from our cows. Our farm is home to a delightful array of animals, including cows, young calves, chickens, a friendly cat, and playful ducks, providing an authentic farm experience for all ages.
During summer, unwind in our idyllic garden, complete with comfortable seating, a swing, and barbecue facilities – perfect for cozy evenings after a strenuous mountain tour or simply watching children play in the sandpit. Explore the region's natural beauty with an extensive network of well-maintained hiking trails, or embark on a mountain biking adventure on countless routes. The scenic, over 40-kilometer-long cycle and walking path along the Bregenzer Ache river runs right past our farm, inviting leisurely strolls or invigorating rides. Cool off in nearby outdoor pools or brave the refreshing waters of a cold mountain stream.
When winter transforms the landscape, you'll find cross-country ski trails, skating tracks, groomed winter hiking paths, and ski tours right on your doorstep. For alpine enthusiasts, Vorarlberg's largest ski resorts – Diedamskopf, Damüls-Mellau, Warth-Schröcken, and Ski Arlberg – are easily accessible within 5 to 25 minutes by car or ski bus. For a truly magical experience, simply sit back and enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the freshly snow-covered scenery.
Conveniently, within a 5 to 15-minute walk, you can reach shops for daily necessities, restaurants, banks, the post office, tourist office, a cable car, swimming pool, and playgrounds.

Our farmyard is farmed by us, the Erath family and has been managed as an agricultural business for generations. We farm 15 ha pasture land and manage a dairy.
15 cows, 8 young animals, 7 chickens, one cat and 3 ducks live on our farm under one roof.
The farm is managed in the traditional method of three-stage grassland farming. This means: In winter at the farm, in early summer in a meadow, in summer on the alp, and in winter back to the meadow. They then return to the valley - home - at the end of September.

Vignettes required
If you use Austrian motorways you are required to pay a time-dependent road charge. There are vignettes for 10 days, 2 months and a year. They are available at automobile associations, petrol stations and post offices.
There is a corridor vignette for the route from the border crossing Hörbranz - Pfänder tunnel - to Hohenems. It costs EUR 2 and is only valid for one use of this journey. You can get one right at the border at Hörbranz or at the Shell petrol station for the return journey.
By train:
Travel to Dornbirn or Bregenz railway station. There is an hourly bus connection to Au, or take a taxi.
