We offer cozy apartments in a 100 year old farmhouse at 1050m. Our beautiful wooden house is the perfect place to switch off from everyday life. Enjoy the wonderful panorama and the perfect starting point for many hikes and excursions.

Take a Break

At 1,050 meters above sea level, you enjoy an absolutely sunny location with an unobstructed view of the valley and the impressive Salzburg mountains. Around the Deml Almhütte, a large garden with various quiet spots invites you to relax – whether on a sun lounger under the shady tree, on the barefoot path, or in our rustic barbecue hut. All holiday apartments are south-facing and offer sunny views. In our herb garden, you can help yourself freely depending on the season, and learn a traditional craft during Edelweiss carving with Max. With us, you can design your holiday entirely according to your wishes – active or completely relaxed.

Experience a farm

Farm Experience

Collect fresh eggs from the chicken coop, explore our herb and snack garden, and – depending on the season – harvest herbs, fruit, or berries yourself. Max will also show you how a traditional edelweiss is crafted from a simple piece of wood. During tree pruning, you will learn interesting facts about our fruit trees and how to care for them.

About Us

Our rustic Deml Almhütte is located at 1,050 meters above sea level above Flachau in the Salzburger Sportwelt region in the Salzburger Land. Surrounded by meadows, forests, and mountains, you will enjoy a quiet, traffic-free, and child-safe location. The town center of Flachau & Altenmarkt can be reached in just a few minutes. A mountain inn is located only 200 meters from our farm.

Our 4 lovingly furnished holiday apartments combine the charm of a traditional farmhouse with modern comfort. Upon request, we can spoil you every morning with fresh bread rolls, so your holiday can start in a completely relaxed way.

Around the hut you will find everything you need for a relaxed family vacation:

With us, you can experience everyday farm life in a completely relaxed way. Our rabbits, cats, and chickens look forward to many little animal lovers and plenty of petting.

You can also look forward to our farm products: daily fresh eggs and a herb garden with fresh alpine herbs.

🥐 Fresh bread and pastries are delivered every morning by the Haidl bakery from Altenmarkt
🧀 Other regional specialties such as farmhouse bread, cheese, and fresh milk are available at the village shop in Flachau
🛍️ Every Friday, the farmers' markets in Altenmarkt or Radstadt invite you to browse seasonal products from the region

Sustainability

As a small family business, we manage our Deml Almhütte in harmony with nature. Seasonal herbs, fruit, and vegetables grow in our garden around the farm. The surrounding meadows are used as hayfields, providing feed for our chickens and small animals. You can get fresh eggs directly from the farm, bread and pastries are delivered daily from a regional bakery, and we source many other specialties from the local area.

In this way, we focus on short distances, regional products, and the careful preservation of our cultural landscape.

Apartment Type-A

2 - 4 People

The Type A apartments accommodate 2 to 4 people and impress with plenty of wood and the charm of a traditional alpine hut. The bright eat-in kitchen with a cozy seating area and couch invites you to relax. The fully equipped kitchen with an oven, coffee maker, kettle, and dishes offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Each apartment features a double room and a separate bedroom with bunk beds – ideal for families with children. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet, and hairdryer.

Natural solid wood furniture treated with organic wax, anti-allergic bedding, and an in-room safe ensure a pleasant living atmosphere. Bed linen as well as hand, bath, and kitchen towels are of course provided.

A balcony or terrace with a wonderful view of the Salzburg mountains, free Wi-Fi, and a parking space directly at the house complete your stay.
