About Us
Ramsaugut is located in Faistenau, just about 20 km from Salzburg, with views of the Faistenau Schafberg! Here you will find peace and relaxation. The holiday home is entirely yours, as our family does not live on the farm and only comes twice a day for stable time. From here, you can reach the beautiful Hintersee in just a few minutes.
The house has been furnished to a high standard and offers plenty of space for relaxation on two floors. In the garden, you will find a cozy seating area, a charcoal grill, and a small herb garden. Children love the mud kitchen and the pedal tractor – outdoor play is expressly encouraged here!
We raise heifers on the farm. The quails and young calves stay on the farm in summer, and the heifers go to the alpine pasture in summer. Our farm is organically managed. Do you want to see more of country life? I am a hunter, and there is the possibility to watch the feeding or accompany us for wildlife observation – also for feeding wildlife in winter!
In summer, the farm is an ideal starting point for excursions, hikes, and bike tours. The hiking trails and bike paths in this region are very well developed and marked. After a full day, we recommend a dip in the Hintersee. It is only a 5-minute drive from our farm. You are also welcome to take the bus, directly in front of our door, to Salzburg and explore the city of Mozart.
In winter, Faistenau is particularly popular for its cross-country ski trails – the region is considered sun-sure and offers the best conditions. Small ski areas nearby are ideal for families. Or you can spend relaxed winter days directly at the farm with sledding, building a snowman, or a snowshoe hike.

The Ramsaugut holiday home (approx. 120 m²) consists of 2 floors and is divided as follows:
Ground floor: 1 stone pine farmhouse parlour, 1 solid wood kitchen, 1 stone pine room with double bed, 1 WC, 1 large cloakroom, 1 storage room for hiking boots or in winter for ski equipment or cross-country skiing equipment or snowshoes
Upper floor: 1 oak room with double bed, 1 spruce room with double bed, 1 larch room with double bed, 1 bathroom with WC and large shower with rain shower
Further equipment details: solid wood furniture, TV, WLAN, radio, fridge with freezer compartment and cellar zone, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, bread slicer, toaster, SodaStream, 4-burner hob with oven, complete crockery and cutlery.

Lake Fuschlsee Region
What would you like to do during your holiday? The six villages Fuschl am See, Faistenau, Hintersee, Hof bei Salzburg, Ebenau and Koppl stand for a great diversity. Would you like to bake bread with the farmer in the old mill “Rumingmühle” in Fuschl? How about enjoying freshly caught trout or jumping into Lake Fuschlsee after a demanding tour on your racing bike? Do you prefer watching sunrise on the mountain Schober or visit the theatre performance of “Jedermann” underneath a 1,000 year-old linden tree in Faistenau? You can also explore the Salzkammergut region on an e-bike, take a refreshing stroll through the “ice chapel” (“Eiskapelle”) in Hintersee on a hot summer’s day or go on a trip to the city of Salzburg. In winter, you can get some exercise on the 140 km of cross-country ski trails, in the family-friendly ski resort “Gaißau-Hintersee”, on the slopes with your toboggans and sledges or - if the weather is fine - on frozen Lake Fuschlsee with your ice skates on. You’ll wish you could stay longer!
