Our alpine house has been in our family for three generations now and is situated at around 1,100 meters on the Johannserberg in the municipality of Brückl. The alpine house, which has been completely renovated from the ground up, features two double bedrooms on the upper floor and a modern fitted kitchen, a shower-bathroom/WC, and an open-plan dining and living area with a sofa bed and TV on the ground floor. Thanks to its south-west orientation, all rooms are bright during the day and offer breathtaking views of the mountain landscape through the well-placed windows. Nevertheless, the classic character of a mountain cabin can still be seen in the preserved stone wall and the spacious terrace with steps leading down to the meadow. 

Whether alone, as a couple, or as a family, up to 6 people can enjoy absolute peace and pure nature here, away from city life and the stress of everyday work. A friendly neighboring farmer is located in the immediate vicinity, letting his cows out to pasture or his horses into the paddock, adding to the idyllic alpine feeling. Otherwise, you are all alone on this section of the mountain. In the valley in Brückl, there is a supermarket, a bakery, and a pizzeria, which can be reached in just 8 minutes by car. 

Anyone who ends up here is guaranteed magical sunrises and sunsets over the Karawanken mountain range all year round. 

But the highlight of our alpine hut is surely the newly built, modern sauna hut, which offers a panoramic view in a class of its own thanks to its glass front. This is wellness for the eyes and relaxation for the entire body. 

Surrounding the alpine house are mountain meadows and small forest paths that invite you to go hiking. If you drive further up the mountain, you will reach Carinthia's sunny paradise. The municipality of Diex is located here at around 1,200 meters above sea level. With more than 2,000 proven hours of sunshine per year, it is the sunniest mountain village in Carinthia and is well worth a visit in just a 15-minute drive or a 4-hour hike. 

And if you like, you are very welcome to visit us and get to know our Demeter farm. We are only about 20 kilometers and a 30-minute drive from the alpine house. You are welcome to stop by before your arrival and take our self-made Demeter products with you to the Johannserberg. On Fridays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., there is home-baked bread, fresh raw milk butter, curd cheese, yogurt, Glundner cheese, and much more.
