Heritage-protected, this historic property features original paneling, floors, a traditional smoke kitchen, and modern architectural elements like the glass doors in the bathrooms, which display pictures from the 1930s by our uncle, Father Johann Bergmann.
A warm welcome to Chalet Mesh, a lovingly designed retreat on the Mittereggerschneiderhof. Surrounded by unspoiled nature, this cozy chalet offers the perfect escape – with sunshine from early to late, the fragrant scent of hay in the air, and complete tranquility, as the road ends 300 meters behind the house.
The farm has stood on this special spot since 1299, nestled in nature, with a view of the stunning mountain world. Protected as a historic monument and lovingly restored, it blends the charm of past centuries with modern living comfort.
Chalet Mesh spans three floors and offers a unique living experience on over 280 m². The warm wooden elements, the carefully preserved historical structures, and the stylish furnishings create an atmosphere of calm and comfort. The cozy old parlor with the original farmhouse stove invites you to relax. The fully equipped kitchen, reminiscent of the historical "Rachkuchl," is a rare gem. On the terrace or balcony, you can enjoy the fresh mountain air, simply do nothing, breathe in the soul of the house, and absorb the past and present – all while taking in a breathtaking view of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site.
For those who want to stay active, hiking, cycling, or climbing adventures can start directly from the house. New summits can be reached in the nearby Sexten Dolomites, or you can refresh yourself at one of the idyllic lakes in the region. Just a stone's throw away lies the lively Innichen, known from the TV series "Bergpolizei," as well as the Three Peaks area and the Thurntaler mountain lifts – a paradise for nature lovers, hikers, and sports enthusiasts. A special highlight is the queen of the Pustertal, the impressive Heinfels Castle, which sits below our farm and makes history feel close at hand.
Whether cooking together, enjoying hours on the terrace, or exploring the surrounding nature – anyone who arrives here will immediately feel that this place is more than just a place to stay. It is a retreat full of history, authenticity, and Alpine charm that invites you to stay and enjoy.

A warm welcome to Chalet Mesh – a lovingly designed retreat at Mittereggerschneiderhof, nestled in a snow-covered winter landscape. Here, surrounded by unspoiled nature, you’ll find a place full of peace and authenticity.
The farm has stood on this special spot since 1299, with an unobstructed view of the majestic mountain world. Protected as a historic monument and lovingly restored, it combines the charm of past centuries with modern living comfort. The old stones and walls, the traditional paneling, and the warm wooden floors give the chalet a unique sense of coziness – all while retaining the comforts of today.
Chalet Mesh spans three floors and offers a unique living experience on over 280 m². The cozy old parlor with the original farmhouse stove invites you to warm up after a day in the snow. The fully equipped kitchen, reminiscent of the historical "Rachkuchl," is a rarity and will delight any food lover.
Outside, you’ll find our large sun terrace with lounge chairs, where you can enjoy sunshine and a magnificent view of the snow-covered panorama all day long, even in winter.
Whether skiing, cross-country skiing, ski touring, tobogganing, ice skating, or winter hiking – the area offers a winter paradise for all snow lovers. Nearby are the lively Innichen, known from the TV series "Bergpolizei," as well as the 3Zinnen ski area and the Thurntaler ski lifts.
Anyone arriving here will immediately feel that this place is more than just accommodation. It’s a retreat full of history, authenticity, and Alpine charm – perfect for experiencing winter at its finest.
Note: Snow chains or an all-wheel-drive vehicle are required during snowfall.
In our herb garden, rosemary, chives, basil, bay leaf, lovage (Maggi herb), mint, and parsley grow, so you can enrich your home-cooked meals with plenty of flavour. If you visit at the right time, you'll also find ripe strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and red currants.
In Sillian (2km from our Höfl), the farmer's shop sells homemade products from 20-27 local farmers, such as bacon, sausages, cheese, Schlipfkrapflan, bread, eggs, sweets, Niggilan, jams, schnapps, liqueurs, syrups, and much more. Opening hours: Friday 13:00-18:00, Saturday 09:00-12:00.
Why 100%? Because during the renovation of our 'Höfl' (small farm), we reinstalled every single board and every stone after their removal. Because we only used insulation materials made from natural raw materials. Because our farm's own spring water flows from the taps, because we separate waste according to regulations, and because the heating is operated with our farm's own firewood or pellets.
