About Us
Between Pfarrwerfen and Werfenweng lies our Oberlehenhof with a fantastic view of the Tennen and Hagen mountains. Josef Salchegger bought our Oberlehenhof in 1930 and laid an important foundation stone of our today's agriculture with the new building of the stable! In the meantime, Josef and Elisabeth Salchegger are running the farm in the 3rd generation and have expanded the farm with a modern and cozy chalet suite.
In winter you will find our heifers in the barn and in summer, when the cattle are on the mountain pasture, we keep turkeys until autumn. We also have some chickens, quails, horses and many other small animals on the Oberlehenhof. Thus there is in any case, much to marvel at and discover. Here in Pfarrwerfen, we are surrounded by forest and meadows, which means that you can also see wild animals such as deer.
So there is a lot to experience around the Chaletsuite and we are very keen to make your stay here with us an unforgettable experience. The chalet suite itself offers space for up to 6 people and was built brand new.
In summer, the excursion destinations in the region, such as the Eisriesenwelt, Hohenwerfen Castle or the Kupferzeche exhibitionmine provide additional variety. All sports enthusiasts also get their money's worth. Whether hiking on the Salzburg Almenweg, cycling along the Tauern Cycle Path or golfing at the St. Johann Alpendorf golf course, we offer the right thing for everyone.
All winter sports fans enjoy in winter the proximity to the family ski area Werfenweng and the cross-country ski trail. The W3 shuttle service is available to all skiers free of charge and takes you comfortably to the Werfenweng cable cars and back again. A ride order must be booked 1 hour before departure. But also away from the ski slopes, the snowy winter landscape can be explored and enjoyed on hiking trails, on the toboggan or on a horse-drawn sleigh ride.

Due to the great "biodiversity" on the farm, we can produce and market many products ourselves. These include eggs and various types of schnapps.

On our farm we have space for our calf rearing in winter. As soon as the cattle move to the alpine pastures in summer, there are many turkeys on our farm. We also have some chickens, quails, horses and many other small animals such as rabbits, cats and turtles on the Oberlehenhof.
