About Us
Welcome to the Burgstallerhof
At 1000 meters above sea level, the Burgstallerhof is in an absolutely isolated location: a wonderful place in the middle of nature. Undisturbed by the rest of the world, you can enjoy your breakfast with milk and eggs from the farm and a view of the deep blue Millstättersee. The vacation can begin.
There is a lot to experience around the farm: We run a dairy farm, we keep chickens and a few pygmy goats. Our cats love to be petted.
Would you like to just spend a day at the farm? With pleasure! In the garden we have created numerous resting places for our guests. Comfortably under the trees or freely with a view of the Millstättersee: every family chooses their own favorite spot. There is plenty of space for the children to run around, a trampoline, a swing and a table tennis table. Your dog will also have a fine time with us. Many hikes lead directly from the farm - also perfect for small walks.
By the way: A gas grill is available free of charge. Or do you prefer to grill bread on a stick around the campfire?
This is how you live at the Burgstallerhof
We rent 4 holiday apartments, which we named after the flowers of the surrounding mountain meadows: Enzian, Almrausch, Himmelkey and Hansel & Gretl.
Each unit has its advantages: The Enzian apartment is located in the neighboring building and offers a spacious 80 m² living space (2 bedrooms, a large kitchen-cum-living room, separate toilet and bathroom) for a maximum of 5 people. On the associated terrace you have your seating set and deck chairs all to yourself.
The Himmelkey, Almrausch and Hänsel & Gretl apartments are located on the 1st floor of our farmhouse. They are lovingly furnished and each apartment has its own south-facing balcony, which is closed by a window front.
Around the Burgstallerhof
At the Burgstallerhof you are in the heart of Carinthia. Numerous excursion destinations in Central Carinthia are easily accessible. Guests of our farm receive the Millstättersee Inclusive Card free of charge with their vacation. You can look forward to free entry to the bathing establishments on Lake Millstatt as well as free travel on the toll roads of the Millstätter Almen and much more.
Some hiking routes start directly from the farm, including to the cultivated Pichlhütte.

Farm products and catering
You can get our wonderful tasting organic eggs from us, maybe a hen will even lay a green egg for you... the cows also ensure that there is always wonderfully fresh milk. In winter, farmer Peter makes our own fruit schnapps from the pears, which adults should definitely try.
Animals
Many large and small animals live here at Burgstallerhof:
Flöckchen and Daisy our dwarf goats are hard to get enough of. They'll soon recognize you by your shouting and come running to the fence, perhaps to get hold of one or two tidbits.
Our guinea pigs are also always enthusiastic about dandelion suppliers.
You can visit the cows that stay on the farm in the summer with farmer Peter, help with feeding and milking, try fresh milk and if you are lucky, a calf will be born.
Then there are the cats Sammy and Sissy, our dogs Krümel and Benny and the chickens, without whom there would be no good holiday breakfast eggs on the table.

Motorway exit Millstättersee in Seeboden 2nd roundabout, turn left - drive towards the golf course - in Tangern, take the last road on the left (Pichelhütte is well signposted) - Burgstallerhof is another 3 km or so up the mountain
