The Burgerlhütte has a rich and unusual past. Originally built as a hunting lodge, it stood unused for decades in a nearby forest. In 2005, thanks to the initiative of our parents, the hut “went on a journey” and was carefully relocated to its current spot – the former site of the old blacksmith's workshop at the Oberkamperhof.
About Us
The Burgerlhütte, an old log cabin, was carefully rebuilt and renovated near the farm in a sunny location, and appointed with all the latest amenities. The asphalt road (accessible all year round) takes you to the cabin. The terrace provides a wonderful panoramic view of the mountain world. Snug little spots around the cabin are a perfect invitation to while away the hours and recharge your batteries. Experience the sensory magic of sundown from the glazed veranda. The modern kitchen with dishwasher is directly next to the cosy living room. Satellite TV and free Internet access are available. The wood-burning stove in the kitchen supplies all rooms with a pleasant, restorative warmth. The wooden spiral staircase leads to two cosy bedrooms appointed with solid wood furniture, one of which has a balcony. In the summer: Guided hikes, gathering mushrooms, trout fishing, BBQ. Mountain bike alpine tour and outdoor pool 6 km away. In winter: You can do avalanche-safe ski and toboganning tours, ice skating, skiing - nocturnal skiing - in Kleinlobming. Experience our organic farm and enjoy our home-grown products.

About Us
The Burgerlhütte, a former log cabin with a rich history, was lovingly rebuilt near our farm in a sunny location, carefully renovated, and equipped with modern comforts. A paved road, accessible year-round, leads almost all the way to the hut. From the terrace, you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, while cozy spots around the cabin invite you to relax and recharge.
The glazed veranda offers a perfect place to watch the sun set in a magical alpine atmosphere. The well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher is located right next to the comfortable living room, which features satellite TV and free internet access. A traditional wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth throughout the cabin. A stylish wooden spiral staircase leads to two small bedrooms with solid wood furniture – one of them with a private balcony. The bathroom with shower and washing machine, as well as a separate toilet, are located on the ground floor.
In summer, hiking trails lead to the Tobiasalm (approx. 30 minutes on foot) and the Steinplan-Hut (approx. 90 minutes). From mid-May, these serviced alpine huts are a true insider tip among mountain and hiking enthusiasts. Guests can collect mushrooms, berries and herbs, go fishing for trout, take mountain bike tours or visit the animals on our farm: cows, chickens, mini ponies, sheep, goats, a dog, and cats are all happy to meet new friends. A small outdoor swimming pool is located in the village of Kleinlobming, around 7 km away.
In winter, you’ll find avalanche-safe skiing and sledding routes, as well as ice skating, skiing, and night skiing in Kleinlobming.

Since 1993, our farm has been managed organically and in line with ecological principles. Our animals spend as much time as possible on pasture – as long as vegetation allows – and even in winter, they have daily access to outdoor areas to enjoy fresh air and sunshine. Out of respect for our animals and a deep sense of responsibility, we mostly consume only the meat we raise ourselves or source from small, trustworthy organic farms in the region.
We've been producing our own electricity from hydropower since the 1950s. To make the most of the many hours of sunshine our farm enjoys and reduce our dependence on the public grid, we’ve also installed a small photovoltaic system with battery storage.
Sustainable forestry is equally important to us: we manage our woodland in a natural way, encouraging a diverse, site-adapted forest that is resilient to climate change. For a secure and clean water supply in our household, stables and alpine huts, we rely on our own natural springs – providing pure mountain water straight from the source.

The modern kitchen, equipped with a dishwasher, is located right next to the cozy living room. Satellite TV and free internet access are available. The wood-burning stove in the kitchen provides cozy warmth to all rooms. The wooden spiral staircase leads to two cozy bedrooms with solid wood furniture, one of which has a balcony.
Pets are allowed only under certain conditions and by prior arrangement!
Note:
For stays of 3 nights or more, bed linens are included in the price. For short stays, there is a charge of €10 per bed.
Electricity is billed based on usage at €0.60 per kW.

Die Burgerlhütte liegt in sonniger Lage nahe dem Oberkamperhof in Kleinlobming (Steiermark) und ist ganzjährig über eine asphaltierte Straße erreichbar.
Anreise mit dem Auto:
Von der A9 Pyhrnautobahn kommend, S36, nimm die Ausfahrt Knittelfeld Ost und folge der Beschilderung Richtung Apfelberg und Lobmingtal (ca. 20 Minuten Fahrzeit).
Am Ortsende von Kleinlobming führt eine beschilderte Zufahrtsstraße direkt zum Oberkamperhof, Sonnberg II/61.
Von dort folgt man der ausgeschilderten Hofzufahrt weiter bis zur Burgerlhütte – ein Parkplatz befindet sich direkt bei der Hütte.
Wichtig im Winter:
Die Straße ist geräumt und gut befahrbar – je nach Wetterlage empfehlen wir Winterausrüstung (Winterreifen, Schneeketten bei Schneefall).
