Experiences

Take a break

Take a break

Our farm is nestled right at the foot of the Danielsberg in the Möll Valley, offering a pure nature experience. Relax in our garden and on the terrace, where plenty of seating and lounging options are available. We love our surroundings and are always happy to share our knowledge about the wild herbs growing right on our doorstep, as well as the wildlife in the neighboring forests.

Experience a farm

Experience the Farm

There is always plenty to see and do here: right in the morning, you can collect your own breakfast egg straight from the nest. You can join Hans-Paul to bring the cows in from the pasture for milking. Our youngest animals, the little calves, also need to be fed with fresh milk every day. Our pygmy rabbits are waiting daily for their fresh grass from the meadow. Your help is needed!

About Us

Wake up with the chickens? In the truest sense of the word: you will live in the "Chicken Hotel", in the apartment directly above our happy free-range chickens.

We are always delighted to welcome families to our farm. Children especially will find plenty of opportunities to experience new things. Have you ever collected your breakfast egg straight from the chicken? If not, here you simply go one floor down and you are already standing in front of the nests of our "employees". The cheerful cackling is contagious. With this start to the day, nothing stands in the way of a wonderful holiday.

Our philosophy of life: We people in the mountain valleys love to take things easy – rush and hustle have no place here. Living in harmony with nature and the unique characteristics of the Alpine valleys means, first and foremost, having patience, serenity, and perseverance.

In a figurative sense: “The life of parents is the book that children read.”

Our organic farm is completely family-friendly, not least because we have two delightful children of our own: little holiday companions for your children!

The Mölltal is one of the most beautiful and unique valleys in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Enjoy our picturesque home with us, along with the healthy food we produce ourselves on the farm.

Farm products and catering

Farm products "die Brunnerin"

Small but exquisite – that is how one could casually describe Susanne's farm dairy. Of the approximately 500 liters of organic milk milked daily, only a fraction goes into the farm's own processing; the rest is sold to the "Kärntnermilch" dairy.

Everything that Susanne, as "die Brunnerin", creates with her own hands is meant to maintain the highest quality and goodness; mass production would go against this credo. Good traditional handcraft is a trademark with a quality guarantee for Susanne as a cheesemaker.

And so, Susanne heats, stirs, and pasteurizes the milk into selected delicacies such as fresh cheese, farm curd (Bauerntopfen), yogurt, camembert, mozzarella, burrata, and occasionally the finest butter.

With a bit of luck, you can get some of these delicacies directly from the farm shop, but Susanne mainly supplies selected nearby inns dedicated to traditional Carinthian cuisine, such as the Herkuleshof on Danielsberg and the Gasthof Scherzer in Möllbrücke.

Our offer for you in your breakfast basket:

  • Natural raw milk
  • Fine curd cheese
  • Curd cheese spreads – various varieties
  • Set natural yogurt in a glass
  • Fresh cheese in a herb crust
  • Fresh cheese in a pepper crust
  • Curd pralines in oil
  • Naturally ripened camembert
  • Mozzarella
  • Farmhouse bread (mixed-grain bread with whey)
  • Spelt rolls
  • Jam

In addition, you can purchase honey from the local apiary and farmhouse butter from a friendly local farmer.

Please speak to us personally if you are interested in our farm products. "Die Brunnerin" will gladly show you all the delicacies in her kitchen and share interesting facts about their production.

Animals

A few years ago, we decided to run our farm organically.

Our animals enjoy species-appropriate husbandry and, above all, the freedom to roam from the beginning of May until the first snowfall. The cows provide us with the valuable raw ingredient for cheese production.

The young animals spend the summer on our mountain pasture and return to the farm in autumn for calving.

We are very fond of our free-range chickens. Some of them explore the surroundings during the day and return to the coop to sleep. You are welcome to collect your breakfast egg straight from the coop.

Our children lovingly look after our cats Schnurli, Blacky, and Clooney.
