Welcome to the Brandstättalm in Werfenweng!

Our small, rustic self-catering hut was newly built in 1992 and is located in the Tennengebirge at an altitude of 1,575 m below the Tauernscharte. From mid-May to the end of October, our hut is the ideal starting point for beautiful hikes, e.g., on the Salzburger Almenweg, to the Eiskogel, or across the Tennengebirge. But those seeking peace and quiet also get their money’s worth here. Far away from everyday life, you can relax on the large sun terrace and enjoy the beautiful mountain panorama.

Our Brandstättalm offers space for up to 8 people on two floors. On the ground floor, a cozy living room, a generous dining area, and a wood stove, which can also be used for cooking, await you. In the spacious kitchen (fully equipped), there is also a dining area, a wood stove, electric stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. A beautiful wooden staircase leads to the three bedrooms on the upper floor: a double bedroom, a room for up to 6 people with two double beds and two single beds, and a smaller room with two single beds. In the basement, there is a room with a freezer chest, a separate toilet, and a bathroom with a sink and large shower. The bathroom is equipped with an infrared heater.

Grills, deck chairs, lounge chairs, and sun umbrellas for the terrace and garden are available.

Arrival: possible from 2:30 PM - Departure: by 10:00 AM at the latest.

Our alpine hut can be booked for a minimum of 4 nights during the main holiday periods and a minimum of 3 nights in the low season. Bachelor parties are not desired!

Our self-catering cabin features a cozy living room, a dining area for up to 8 people, two wood stoves, a very well-equipped kitchen with an electric stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and a seating area. In the basement, there is a storage room with a chest freezer, a separate toilet, and a bathroom. On the upper floor, there are 3 bedrooms:

1 bedroom for 2 people (1 double bed)
1 multi-bed room for up to 6 people (2 double beds + 2 single beds)
1 small room on request (2 single beds)

On the large sun terrace and in the garden with a fountain, you can enjoy the view of the dreamlike mountain panorama. Grill, deck chairs, and sun umbrella are available.

During the main holiday periods, bookings are from 4 nights, in the off-season from 3 nights. Bachelor parties are not welcome!

First, you come to us on the farm: Brandstättgut, Lampersbach 12, 5453 Werfenweng - Family Lienbacher. There you will receive from us the hut key and the points card for the restricted forest road. Access to the hut is then made with your own car via an approximately 6 km long forest road. The round trip on the day of arrival/departure is free of charge. Further trips are charged using the points card and cost 20 euros per trip (round trip). If you spend a week on vacation with us, you will receive an additional free trip from us. In the alpine area itself, cars are not allowed! If it is your first time on vacation with us, we drive ahead with our car, take you up to the hut, and show you everything.

Tennengebirge Region

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of ice giants, travel back to the Middle Ages and marvel at the stunning birds of prey at Hohenwerfen Castle. Or simply gaze at the spectacular mountain scenery. Explore the villages Werfen, Pfarrwerfen, Werfenweng and Bischofshofen that are located only 45km from the city of Salzburg. Countless hiking trails and climbing tours for all levels of ability will leave nothing to be desired! In winter, the family-friendly ski resort “Werfenweng” is a snowy paradise. By the way, you can easily reach the Tennengebirge region by public transport.
