Animals

With great love and passion, we run our organic mountain farm, remaining deeply connected to nature and down-to-earth. The main stars of the show are our noble Tyrolean Grey cattle – robust, gentle, and beautiful. Each animal has a name and is part of our family.

Species-appropriate animal husbandry – visible, tangible, award-winning
Our Tyrolean Grey cattle live in a bright, open-plan barn with fresh mountain air, soft bedded lying areas, and plenty of drinking spots. This ensures well-being, animal health, and species-appropriate husbandry, which you can feel immediately as our guest.
For this high quality, we have been awarded the Animal Welfare Award and the Animal Well-being Prize of the Tyrolean Chamber of Agriculture – a symbol of responsible farming.
Summer fresh on the alpine pastures
In summer, our young animals and some of the cows spend at least three months on the Tyrolean alpine pastures – lush grasses, wide open spaces, sometimes rain and thunderstorms...
Our cows Tamara and Tolly stay at the farm, on the home pasture, providing us with valuable organic milk even during the warm months.

Our small farm residents

  • Mauxl, our farm cat, loves gentle cuddles.
  • The rabbits Flocke and Mister Scharpl roam around curiously and keep popping up unexpectedly.

Experience the farm – with all your senses
It's not just children's eyes that light up! Watching, smelling, petting, admiring, helping out, marveling, and rejoicing...
All around the farm, there are many wild animals and natural moments to discover that make every single day special.

Reviews
Sustainability

For us, sustainability is naturally a part of everyday life and means: preserving nature, being mindful of what nature gives us. Valuing regional aspects and offering our guests a relaxing holiday with a good feeling.

Energy from nature
We rely on renewable energy and use what our homeland gives us:

  • 100% heat from biomass – with firewood and wood chips from the local forest. Branch material remains in the forest as a valuable nutrient and contributes to the natural cycle.
  • Electricity from hydropower and our own photovoltaic system ensure an environmentally conscious energy supply.
  • An e-charging station allows you to conveniently charge your electric car directly here at the farm.

Living consciously and preserving nature
A lot can be achieved even in small ways:

  • In our holiday apartments, Soda-Streams are available instead of single-use bottles.
  • Energy-efficient appliances and LED lighting help to use electricity mindfully.
  • Our clear spring water from an altitude of 2,000 meters comes directly from the tap – a precious gift from nature that we want to treat with care.

Regional. Seasonal. Organic.
Our organically managed agriculture and our own farm garden are part of our daily lives. We rely on regional and seasonal food, preferably of organic quality, short distances, and honest products from our region.
This is how sustainability is not just promised here, but lived – day after day.

Award-winning animal welfare
Our Tyrolean Grey cattle live in the natural rhythm of the seasons – with plenty of space, exercise, and time outdoors. This species-appropriate husbandry has already received several awards and is a special recognition of our daily work for us.
Animal welfare is not just a responsibility for us, but a matter close to our hearts.

Together for a good future
Sustainability is also reflected in the small things of everyday life: in waste separation, avoiding waste, and being mindful of what nature gives us.
We are delighted when our guests also walk this path with us. Because if everyone contributes a little, we can achieve a lot together.
