The Biberhof has been adhering to organic farming principles since 1995. It is nestled in the rolling hills of the Mühlviertel, on the edge of the European Green Belt.
The Biberhof - a diverse organic farm
The farm is run by us, Leo and Franziska Friesenecker, together with our children. Due to our personal interests and inner conviction that natural farming can only work by ensuring a well-balanced diversity, a set of economic activities and organic food products have been developed at our farm Biberhof in recent years.
The products from Biberhof are therefore as diverse as nature itself. Our agricultural activities are:
the cultivation of various herbs,
the cultivation and processing of spelt, emmer and naked oats,
the cultivation of various oilseeds such as hemp, flax and mustard,
which are pressed into edible oil directly on the farm,
as well as the cultivation of strawberries that consumers can harvest themselves,
the cultivation of potatoes that consumers can dig themselves and
the production of mustards in various flavours. The now well-known and popular "farmer's caviar" was created by us and is produced on the farm.

Our holiday apartment features a hall, kitchen with cooker, fridge with freezer compartment and an additional wood-burning stove (can be heated in the winter months - so you can enjoy the crackling of the firewood), living room with TV and Wi-Fi, bathroom with shower and bathtub (separate), bedroom with double bed and cot on request. There is a sofa bed for an additional person in the living room.

How to get here by public transport:
Simply travel directly to Freistadt by train (train station “Freistadt”) or bus (bus stop “Stifterplatz”). From there we will be happy to organise the onward journey to our farm.
