About Us
🏔 Our Farm
Our Bichlgut is located on sunny Buchberg hill in Bischofshofen, right in the heart of the beautiful Salzburger Land. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Hochkönig mountain range while being just minutes away from the town center with shops, cafés and restaurants.
Our organic heritage farm has been family-owned for over 200 years – three generations live and work here under one roof. With us, you’ll experience true hospitality and authentic rural life.
Children love our farm! A large playground with swings, slide, sandbox, trampoline and seesaw offers lots of space for play and discovery. Mini-pony Vincent is the star of the farm – along with our Noriker horses, which we have been breeding for generations. You’ll also meet young cattle, chickens, pigs, goats, rabbits, cats and our friendly farm dog Cora. In summer, many animals spend their “holiday” on the Schernbergalm – but there's still plenty of animal fun at the farm.
Our two lovingly furnished holiday apartments offer cosy comfort for 2 to 6 people – with modern kitchens, balconies and welcoming living spaces. In the garden, sun loungers, a swing seat and a sunny terrace with barbecue area invite you to relax.

In summer, hiking and mountain biking tours start right at the doorstep. Popular day trip destinations like Hohenwerfen Castle, the Eisriesenwelt ice cave, Liechtensteinklamm gorge, Toni’s Alpine playground or the city of Salzburg with its historic old town and the fountains of Hellbrunn Palace are all within easy reach by car.

In winter, our farm is ideally located between the Hochkönig ski area and the Salzburger Sportwelt. You can quickly reach many ski resorts – such as Snow Space Flachau, Alpendorf, Werfenweng or Mühlbach. If you prefer a slower pace, enjoy peaceful winter walks, visit nearby toboggan runs, or try the floodlit cross-country skiing trail and ice rink in Bischofshofen.

Our hereditary farm is managed organically with a lot of love.
Here we have specialised in rearing calves for dairy farms. You and your children are welcome to help with the stable work. The calves and horses are allowed to spend the summer on the alp.
At Bichlgut we also breed horses of the Noriker breed, which has become rare in the meantime. In this way we make a valuable contribution to species conservation.
Furthermore we keep hens for our and your fresh eggs. During the summer months we have 2 pigs, which inspire especially the children again and again.
Furthermore the children will find goats, sheep, ponies, rabbits and cats to pet and love.
But also our farm dog Cora is happy about every stroke.

The apartment features 2 comfortable triple rooms, offering space for up to 6 people. The bright living and dining area invites you to linger with a large couch and a flat-screen TV. At the dining table, you can enjoy shared meals in a relaxed atmosphere.
The open kitchen is fully equipped and leaves nothing to be desired: ceramic hob with oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, and a spacious refrigerator with freezer compartment are at your disposal.
