Especially in our fast-paced and hectic times, people need an oasis of PEACE AND QUIET where they can escape and restore harmony to body, mind and soul. Would you like to GET AWAY FROM THE DAILY GRIND AND STRESS, and LEAVE ALL YOUR WORRIES FAR BEHIND?

If so, enjoy a few days at our beautiful BARTLHÜTTE in Nahendfeld at 1666 m above sea level. In this magical location, our hut awaits guests amid colorful flower-strewn alpine meadows. Gloriously fresh mountain air along with the babble of crystal-clear springs and briskly flowing streams will quickly allow you to forget all your cares and find the tranquility you seek. In harmony with nature, children have so much to discover and will have the time of their lives playing in and next to the stream.

Our lovingly designed and fully equipped hut is ideal for a family as well as young, or young-at-heart couples. Up to 6 people can spend the night at our hut and enjoy fun-filled grill evenings in summer.

The Bartlhütte offers a kitchen with a tile stove and small window to peek inside. The kitchen is also fully equipped with a wood-burning stove, refrigerator, sink with running warm water, plus pots & pans, dishes, cutlery etc. Enjoy your homemade meals in the cozy dinette or heat up the grill on the terrace right in front of the hut, where you will also be treated to beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Thanks to the clear spring water from the well right outside, you will also have a constant source of refreshment.

A pit toilet is available for your convenience.
After a full, adventurous day of hiking in the surrounding countryside, you will be able to freshen up in the heatable bathroom with washbasin and bathtub.

The surrounding landscapes are characterized by countless mountains, alpine tarns and enchanting high meadows, all just waiting to be explored. Setting out from this hut, you are only 1 ½ hours from the beautiful Mühlbachsee - good hiking shoes required.

Directions

Our hut can be reached with a standard car and regular driving abilities via a very drivable 8 km-long supply lane. You can drive right up to the fenced-in hut, where parking is available. Your hosts will be happy to accompany you from the valley up to the hut and show you the way there.

There are actually other ways to get to the Bartlalm. On foot, you can begin your hike from the Nahendfeldbrücke bridge/Mitterhuber (bus stop and parking). From there, a marked hiking path leads to the Bartlalm and takes approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours. You can also reach the hut by mountain bike (distance 8 km). In this case, before reaching the sign at the entrance to the village of “Gries”, you will make a left just before the bridge and follow the markings along the supply lane.
