About Us
Welcome to the Bambichl-Alm!
Our original alpine hut is located on the Faistenauer Schafberg with a marvellous view over the Fuschlsee region in SalzburgerLand! Here you can switch off, unwind and immerse yourself in a time without electricity.
The alpine hut is only rented out in the summer months!
You can only reach our alpine hut on foot, after about an hour's easy walk - without luggage! We will bring your luggage to the hut and pick it up again for you.
The alpine hut has
- a kitchen-cum-living room with wood-burning cooker and sink
- a ground-floor bedroom with double bed
- a balcony room with 2 bunk beds on the 1st floor
- bed linen, hand and kitchen towels
- a WC and washbasin with cold running water
- lighting with battery-powered lights
- a fountain and barbecue area in front of the hut
After a 20-minute climb, you will reach two serviced mountain huts on the Oberwiesalm. They serve excellent snacks, farmhouse doughnuts or breakfast.
We recommend a hike to the Loibersbacherhöhe, the Faistenauer Schafberg or the Mittereggalm.
P.S. 2 marmots live under the hut and with a bit of luck you might see or hear a marmot whistling.

The alpine hut has a bedroom on the ground floor with a double bed and a room on the first floor with 2 bunk beds (4 beds) and a balcony. There is a WC and a washbasin with cold water.
There is a wood-burning cooker for cooking and heating hot water. There is plenty of crockery, pots and cutlery.

What would you like to do during your holiday? The six villages Fuschl am See, Faistenau, Hintersee, Hof bei Salzburg, Ebenau and Koppl stand for a great diversity. Would you like to bake bread with the farmer in the old mill “Rumingmühle” in Fuschl? How about enjoying freshly caught trout or jumping into Lake Fuschlsee after a demanding tour on your racing bike? Do you prefer watching sunrise on the mountain Schober or visit the theatre performance of “Jedermann” underneath a 1,000 year-old linden tree in Faistenau? You can also explore the Salzkammergut region on an e-bike, take a refreshing stroll through the “ice chapel” (“Eiskapelle”) in Hintersee on a hot summer’s day or go on a trip to the city of Salzburg. In winter, you can get some exercise on the 140 km of cross-country ski trails, in the family-friendly ski resort “Gaißau-Hintersee”, on the slopes with your toboggans and sledges or - if the weather is fine - on frozen Lake Fuschlsee with your ice skates on. You’ll wish you could stay longer!
