About Us

🌲 Alpen-Chalet Rauris is located at 1,050 meters above sea level – peaceful and private, surrounded by meadows, forests, and the impressive mountains of the Hohe Tauern National Park in the Salzburger Land. It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy pure nature, and leave everyday life behind.

Our chalet was built with great attention to detail in traditional Alpine style. We used only high-quality, regional materials such as reclaimed wood, Rauris natural stone, and handcrafted larch wood shingles. The property includes a 500 m² plot, enclosed with an original Pinzgauer wooden fence, giving the house even more charm and character.

Inside, you'll find modern comfort with a cozy living area, fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, and three bedrooms – two of them furnished with fragrant Swiss pine beds. A private outdoor sauna and a wellness bathtub in the enclosed garden invite you to unwind while enjoying views of the mountains or the starry sky. The chalet offers space for 2 to 8 people and is ideal for families, couples, or friends.

And the location speaks for itself: you’re staying right in the heart of the Rauris Valley – one of the most beautiful regions in the Salzburger Land.

☀️ Summer in the Rauris Valley

In summer, hikes start directly from the chalet. Numerous trails lead through alpine meadows, past waterfalls, or up to scenic peaks in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Popular destinations include the Rauris primeval forest, the gold panning site, the Kitzlochklamm gorge, or the Kolm Saigurn valley head. Cyclists, mountain bikers, and families will also find a wide variety of activities – from easy tours to exciting themed trails.

❄️ Winter in Rauris

In winter, the family-friendly Rauriser Hochalmbahnen ski resort is just a few minutes away. It’s small, snow-sure, and perfect for beginners and families. You'll also find cross-country ski trails, winter hiking paths, toboggan runs, and great routes for ski touring. For a quieter experience, try a snowshoe hike or a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snowy landscape. The nearby Gastein thermal spa region offers even more relaxation and variety.

The chalet offers 140 m² of living space and comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests. The heart of the house is the open-plan living and dining area with a cozy fireplace. On the ground floor, you’ll find a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. This level also includes a separate WC, a spacious entrance area, and a carport directly next to the house – with covered access. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and enjoying your meals.

A special highlight is the large garden with an outdoor sauna and hotpot – perfect for relaxing after active days in the mountains.
The house is equipped with modern technology. Wi-Fi and TVs are available. In the utility room, you’ll find a washing machine, dryer, and boot dryer for your convenience.

Upstairs, there are two additional bedrooms and access to the large balcony. A spacious bathroom with double sinks, a rain shower, and a toilet ensures comfort on this floor as well. A small reading corner on the open gallery offers a quiet spot to relax and unwind.
