About Us

Holidays in the heart of Carinthia

High up, on the Göriacher Alm (1640 m), lies the Almhütte Pucher, surrounded by a small alpine village with uninhabited huts - in a "secluded location", so to speak.

Surrounded by lush meadows, grazing cows, and light forests, the hut offers a wonderful view of Lake Millstätter See and the surrounding mountain landscape. The sunny terrace invites you to spend cozy hours grilling, relaxing, or playing. Our hut can accommodate up to 8 people as a cozy home for the most beautiful time of the year – holiday time.

On the ground floor, there is a large kitchen-cum-living-room with a wood-burning stove and two large tables. There is also a large room here that is very practical for storing hiking gear, toys, etc. A bathroom with a bathtub and sink and a separate toilet are also available. 

 The bedrooms are located on the upper floor of the hut.

  • 1 double room with a pull-out couch 
  • 1 double room with a double bed
  • 1 room with 2 bunk beds (4 people)

The beds are already made, you do not need to bring bed linen, towels, or tea towels, as these are provided by us free of charge. Plenty of eating and cooking utensils, as well as glasses and cups, are available. The hut is equipped with solar power. Sockets for charging mobile phone cables, a filter coffee machine, and a refrigerator (both solar-powered) are available.

A cot, high chair, stroller, and playpen are available.

You can also purchase agricultural products directly from our farm. A fenced-in parking space protects your car from the grazing livestock.

We look forward to welcoming you to our hut from May to October.

The Göriacher Alm serves as a summer pasture for our village's cows. But there is also plenty of wildlife. Those who take enough time to patiently "keep watch" can also spot red deer, hares, roe deer, marmots, or foxes.

Arrival

We kindly ask our guests to check in directly with us at our farm in Göriach No. 9. Here you will also receive the key for the barrier so that you can drive up to the alpine pasture. Our guests keep the key for the duration of their stay.

The road to the alpine pasture is approx. 10 km long from our farm - of which 6 km is asphalted and 4 km is a well-maintained gravel road - you can easily get up there with any car.
