About Us

The cottage is situated in a quiet location on the south side at about 1,700 m above sea level in an area of pastures ideal for walks. The chalet is about 13 km away from the regional capital Lienz and can easily be reached via the Pustertaler Höhenstraße and the Hochsteinstraße. On the opposite side is the prospect of the Lienz Dolomites, where numerous peaks await for your ascent.

Starting directly from the chalet you may take countless beautiful short or long walks in marvelous surroundings. Enjoy the clean air, the pure spring water, the fragrant grasses and alpine flowers and much more.

Enjoy time for yourself, family, friends, and the finer things in life.

Farm products and catering
From the chalet it takes 3km by car and then about a 5 minutes walk to the 2023 meter high Hochsteinhütte.
Animals
We have been breeding Iceland horses for many years. Currently 4 of the horses live on the farm. The horses spend their summer on the alpine pasture.

Chalet

The premises include a large, comfortable kitchen, a double bedroom, a four-bedroom, storage room, hallway, separate restroom, bathroom and a large balcony.

The cabin is heated by means of a wood heating stove, hot water radiators in each room and a separate hot water boiler. For the power supply, a photovoltaic installation of 230 volt is available for limited power supply.

Arrival

Our alpine cabin for rent is located at approx. 1,700 m above sea level.
It is accessible by car in both summer and winter (winter equipment, possibly snow chains required).

At the roundabout in Lienz, head towards Sillian.
After approx. 3 km, turn right in Leisach-Gries onto the Pustertaler Höhenstraße.
Follow the road to Bannberg no. 23 (above the church).
You are now at our home address. From there, we will accompany you to our alpine cabin and familiarize you with the various facilities.
