About Us

Welcome to our alpine cabin, which was lovingly renovated in 2021 and is located in the idyllic Hohe Tauern National Park at 1,550 m above sea level. Here you will find the perfect retreat to relax and escape from everyday life.

Our charming log cabin made of local wood welcomes you with a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Enjoy the peace and quiet and the sound of the wind in the trees.

For sunny days, benches, sun loungers, barbecue facilities, and a refreshing fountain are available in front of the cabin.

Outside the cabin, you will find a spacious lounge where you can spend time with your loved ones.

In summer, you can experience our very special highlight: Our cows and calves graze the surrounding larch meadow in a fenced-off area.

For colder days, a wood stove and a cozy tiled stove in the rooms provide pleasant warmth. A 3 kW photovoltaic system ensures that there is enough electricity available in every room.

The alpine cabin is equipped with a bathroom with shower/toilet and hairdryer. A fridge with freezer compartment is at your disposal for your refreshments. Thanks to our automatic gas boiler, you have access to hot water in the bathroom and kitchen at any time.

Of course, we provide towels and bed linen so that you don't have to worry about a thing.

Please note that the cabin is only rented out during the summer season (approx. May to October). Dogs on request. €15 per night per pet.

Arrival

The road to the alpine hut is accessible by car.

Upon arrival, we will meet at the farm in Stranach 1.

Arrival without GPS:

B106 Mölltal Bundesstraße  - direction Heiligenblut.

In Mörtschach, turn left immediately after the Eni petrol station (across the bridge) - follow the road for approx. 1.5 km towards Stranach.

At the fork in the road, turn right towards Pirkachberg/Wangenitztal (sign).

In approx. 500m, after 2 houses, you will reach the farm.

From there, we will drive up to the hut together with you for another approx. 3km along an asphalt and gravel road.
