The Alpine pasture - a special kind of retreat

In the middle of a picturesque, secluded location on the south-west side of the Gaberl, our Almhaus offers the ideal opportunity for a relaxing break with family or friends.

The lovingly adapted property at just over 1,500m above sea level impresses not only with its unique location, but also with the breathtaking distant view over the Mur Valley and the Aichfeld and is surrounded by forest and cow pastures. Pure peace and nature.

There are numerous opportunities to explore nature and wildlife. Whether hiking or walking on countless forest paths, picking blueberries, looking for mushrooms and fungi, observing animals - life on the alpine pasture leaves almost nothing to be desired.

Our Almhaus also impresses with its cozy and lovingly furnished interior. The Jagerstube - here there is enough space to eat together, chat, play and warm up by the tiled stove in the evening. The spacious kitchen with traditional wood-burning stove and seating invites you to cook together. Running water - also hot - is available in the kitchen as well as in the bathroom. Our Alm offers space for 8 people in four double rooms, whereby an additional bed/children's bed is also possible in some cases. There is also a spacious pantry to keep food and drinks cool - a fridge is also available.

The bathroom with shower and hot water heater, as well as a separate toilet provide the necessary comfort. The power supply is environmentally friendly using photovoltaics and, if required, an additional generator.

The Alm is easily accessible by car. The fridge is well stocked with regional delicacies on arrival. The kitchen is fully equipped. A vacation on our alp promises relaxation, nature experiences and unforgettable moments in the middle of the Austrian mountains.

The long-distance hiking trail “Via Alpina” runs right above our hut, and the summer pasture of the Lipizzaner stallions is not far away. A wide range of hiking trails can be found all around. Trips to the surrounding towns, such as Judenburg, are easy to make, and Graz is only an hour's drive away. And of course the Redbullring with all its offers and events is almost “around the corner.”
