About Us
Our alpine house is an original Carinthian log cabin, which was built in 1969 at exactly 1,800 meters above sea level and has been continuously maintained ever since. It thus combines the rustic flair of a mountain cabin with modern amenities. The heart of the alpine house is the large living area on the ground floor, featuring a spacious sofa, dining table, and the kitchen. Also on the ground floor are the entrance hall, the cloakroom, as well as the bathroom and the separate toilet. On the upper floor, you will find the 3 bedrooms accommodating a total of 6 people. The house is south-facing and therefore offers a magnificent view of the Falkert panorama.
The entire Falkertsee area is within walking distance directly from the cabin. In the immediate vicinity, you will find Lake Falkert, via ferratas, mountain bike routes, numerous hiking trails (such as a stage of the Alpe-Adria Trail), and much more. Thanks to its central location in Carinthia, many other excursion destinations are also easily accessible by car. Within a few minutes' drive, for example, you can reach the Nockalm Road or the lakeside beaches of Lake Millstatt.

It thus combines the rustic charm of an alpine hut with modern amenities. The heart of the cabin is the large living area on the ground floor, with a spacious couch, dining table, and the kitchen. Also on the ground floor are the entrance hall, the cloakroom, as well as the bathroom and the separate toilet. On the upper floor are the 3 bedrooms for a total of 6 people. The house is south-facing and therefore offers a wonderful view of the Falkert panorama.
In winter, the "Heidi Alm" family ski area, the cross-country ski trail, and the illuminated toboggan run are in the immediate vicinity of the cabin. Other ski areas such as Bad Kleinkirchheim, the Turracher Höhe, or Hochrindl can be reached in just a few minutes by car.

Arrival
The Almhaus Falkertzeit is located at Falkertsee 16, 9564 Falkertsee and is easy to find with a navigation device. The drive up to the mountain village is on the B95, the Turracher Bundesstraße, exactly between Bad Kleinkirchheim and the Turracher Höhe. A large Heidi figure marks the turnoff towards Falkertsee.
Attention! Due to the altitude, carrying snow chains is highly recommended, especially in winter!
